Disabled Veterans fifth annual "Trip of a Lifetime" with Oasis alaska Charters The ownership, Captain and deck hand truly made this a "Trip of a Lifetime" for our Disabled Veteran participants. We caught fish, we laughed and we came back with Kodak moments and wonderful memories that will be there for a lifetime. As the President of Purple Heart Anglers I just can't say enough.

Absolutely the best fishing experience we've ever had. This Trip was a great experience for my son and I, the most important thing for use was the fact that this was a private charter, it was just the two of us. You'd be hard pressed to find another company doing that. We each caught a keeper King Salmon (29" and 30") . We caught and released several other Kings as well. Our Captain Josh got us on the fish right away, boating out first King less than 10 minutes after dropping the down riggers. Everybody that asks my son what was the best part of our Alaskan cruise gets the answer "fishing" so I think this trip is a trip he'll remember for the rest of his life which was exactly what I was hoping it would be....Thanks to all at Oasis Alaskan Charters for creating that memory for us.

Highlight of the Summer! Myself and two friends decided to celebrate our college graduation by traveling to Ketchikan and doing a bit of fishing. We booked a full day of fishing with Oasis Alaskan Charters. Our captain, Captain Matt, was a character that was both entertaining and educational. Not only did he put us on the fish, we passed the slow time by listening to his "stories" and ocean adventures. In addition, he told us of the activities that there were to do on the island along with Ketchikan's nightlife and local bars(as any worthy captain should be able to do).As for fish we hit our limit of Halibut with in 2 hours and after that began tossing them back. We also limited on Rockfish and caught more then enough Ling Cod. We didn't catch any salmon but that was because we were still early in the season. In addition to the fish, we saw more bald eagles then we could count and a pod of humpback whales passed by the docks right before we departed. For a once in a lifetime experience in Ketchikan, Alaska I highly urge you to seek out Oasis Charters! Ask for Captain Matt!

Incredible salmon fishing experience The wife and I were on a cruise and wanted to go salmon fishing! This did not disappoint! I did a lot of research on the various charter boats and chose this one and it was an incredible experience. Communication was great! We had them pick us up and it was stress free! We caught 13 fish during the 4 hour tour! We shipped them back home super easy process they handle right at the dock made it back to the ship with plenty of time to spare! We were also pretty amateur fishermen and Josh was amazing! Highly recommend we booked separately from the cruise line and no issues!

Fun catching Salmon My two sons and I had a great time bobbing on the boat and catching salmon! We only fished 3 hours but had 8 hits and reeled in two! They are now in my freezer ready to eat!

Salmon and Halibut fishing I took my 2 teenager kids. As promised it was a private tour. Captain was really nice and accommodated our request to try both Salmon and Halibut fishing. We caught both salmon and Halibut.

Awesome salmon and halibut fishing experience! We have been staying at Clover Pass Resort in our RV and doing the self-guided fishing boats catching a "keeper" king salmon here and there. Our friends from Reno flew up for two days and we wanted to make sure they had some halibut to take back. We had been watching and listening and knew that Capt. Murray was the one to book. He did not disappoint us. Limited out on Halibut and caught one nice King, a Pacific Cod and some rock fish. The dock hands who usually process the fish were at lunch, so another Capt from Oasis stepped in and filleted our fish so that we could get it ready for Alaska Airlines shipping. What a great team!

Salmon fishing at its best Our group of 5 had a great experience. After a short taxi from the cruise ship we were greeted as soon as we arrived and within minutes were fishing. Our Guide could not have been any better. She was a pleasure to spend time with and also put us on the fish! We would highly recommend. Amazing!! Our guide and master fisherman worked tirelessly to get us a Halibut. Amazing experience. The owner was super nice to arrange a taxi on the way back to our cruise. She waited with us until the taxi driver reached as we were getting late. She was ready to drop us to the cruise in her own car in case taxi doesn’t pick us on time. Super nice.

King Salmon fishing me and my buddy went on a Salmon fishing trip for two. It was a great time the Capt. Murray was great. we fished 6 hrs. and caught some rock fish and some King Salmon. had to throw back some small ones but then I caught bubba 35lbs. was great and just as we were wrapping up my buddy caught a 20 pounder. we like that just 2 can go on boat for price what we paid for 4 on another charter. will definitely go back to this charter one of the best

Good Fishing, but.... Although Thomas eventually was able to put us on the fish, he seemed more interested in catching the fish himself rather then offering suggestions to help us catch our own fish. While the grandsons' seemed okay with reeling in fish Thomas caught, my son and I would much rather bait the hook, cast the line, hook the fish and reel it in. It would also have been nice to have a cooler full of ice and a fresh hold to keep the fish in. Had we known the ice maker on the dock was not operating as it should, we would have purchased ice and brought it to the boat. The hold the fish were thrown into after sitting in the iceless cooler for a few hours smelled horrendous. This could have been left for Thomas from the day before, but the second day we fished was just the same-no excuses!!

We had a great time with Captain Murray! We had a short trip to Clover Pass from the Cruise Port and quickly got on our boat with Captain Murray. We were catching fish within minutes and quickly caught our limit of salmon. I even caught a nice halibut before we ran out of time. We would love to do it again sometime.

Great Trip We fished Captain Marie and Deckhand Megan's last charter of the summer. They were very professional, I think we caught more salmon than any boat I saw that morning. We had some first time fishermen and they were very patient and helpful. I would recommend this company to anyone interested.

Great charter fishing experience Message: I just wanted to tell you guys what a fun time we had on our charter. Murray is a great guy to be sent out with and really works hard to make the trip a great one. He certainly did for us. The boat you use is really nice and is perfect for four. We hope to do this again next year, our friend from Germany had a trip of a lifetime unlike anything you could do there. Amazing Day of Fishing I can not say enough about your amazing day of fishing with Captain Murray. We were on a cruise and decided the Ketchikan stop we would go fishing. We booked the charter in advanced. Upon arriving in Ketchikan we had Sourdough taxi take us to the charter. We were met by Joann at the dock and introduced to Captain Murray. Captain Murray did a great job at letting us know what to expect and was very helpful. The boat was clean and the equipment was in excellent condition. He had us on fish in no time and the next (4) hours just flew by. We all had a lot of fun and hope to return for another day of fishing with Oasis Alaska Charters.

Awesome, Excellent, Fantastic and Action Packed! This was my first time in Alaska and my first time Salmon and Halibut fishing from a boat. I learned a lot very quickly with the help and patience of Captain Murray. I don't have anything else to go off of, but we were the only ones rolling in with full limits. Captain Murray and the well equipped boat, the "Reel Therapy", was the perfect combo. Captain Murray kept in contact with other guides and was always actively looking for the "hot spot". Words can't explain the excitement when the four of us in the group all had salmon on at the same time on two different occasions and we landed them all. Captain Murray was working hard netting all the salmon and sometimes netting two at the same time, incredible! You will not be disappointed with Oasis, they are proactive, work hard and have excellent gear. Thanks for the great experience and we will be back.

Amazing Experience I booked this tour directly through Oasis instead of our ship. They were easy to deal with. We met Captain Mike as we stepped off the Sourdough Taxi(wonderful driver- Kayleen). We arranged for her to pick us up at the end of the trip and she was there on time, There were four of us and thanks to Capt Mike we had a great time. He was a fellow New Yorker and we knew some people in common. 3 out of the 4 of us had never fished before and we all ended up loving it. Capt Mike had patience and passion for fishing. The weather was exceptional. We wouldn't hesitate to do this again!!

Such a fun trip! We chartered two boats for 7 of us, and we had a blast. It was chilly and rainy, and it didn't even phase us. Our fishing guys were great, we had all fished before but none of us were experts by any means, and they helped us all to reel in fish and get some pics! The landscape was stunning, and the salmon were flowing :). Would definitely recommend!

Highly Recommended- great time! Fantastic! Picked up and dropped off at the port. We chartered 2 boats for 8 people and we each caught our limit during the 4 hour excursion. Guides were great! This definitely was a highlight of the trip for all of our group. Very fun!

Great Charter For The Family Went out for a 4 hour trip one day and a full day a couple days later on a recent trip to Ketchikan. Captain Murray was great. Fishing was slow, but he still managed to get us into fish both trips. He even gave us a little whale watching tour when he spotted some as we were just starting out. Absolutely incredible What an incredible crew and ownership. I scheduled with Oasis charters after everything on our cruise was booked. I am so glad that this was the case. I wanted a charter for 2 which I could not get booking through the cruise anyway. They were the first people to answer the phone call (not a computer voice) talking with Mark and Joanne was a wonderful experience. I called back multiple times after booking our excursion with questions. They were so kind and answered every question I had without making me feel like what I may have been asking was dumb or stupid. It was our first fishing excursion so I had a lot of dumb stuff I was thinking about. When we got to port Mark was right there waiting. When we arrived at the dock for our excursion we met our captain Axl (not sure of spelling). We could not have asked for a better captain for us. He supplied us with great info and an incredible fishing trip. We almost limited out by catching 9 of a possible 12 salmon in our short 4 hr excursion. Oasis Alaska Charters This was by far the best fishing charter I have ever been on and by far the best Captain to guide a charter. From the minute we stepped foot on the grounds at the Marina we were greeted with kind folks who provided us information on the area, talked with us about our charter, introduced us to the Captain, and ensured we were all ready to go. The folks at the Marina were superb, even offering sunscreen and refreshments. While on board the captain was outstanding, put on on fish within 10 minutes of leaving port. Handled difficult seas with patience and ease, and provided us with an amazing fishing trip that will be remembered for a very long time as the best ever. The captain was courteous, helpful, and truly happy for us when we each caught a fish. First King of the season Mark was able to take me out when others turned me down because I was the only one fishing. He as well as the others told me that it was still too early in the season for good king fishing. In fact, the cleaning and shipping facility wasn't even open yet. So I either had to go out with the cruise ship charter with a party of 6 and really limit my chances or go out with Mark. It was an easy choice to make. His boat and gear were top quality and his home made smoked salmon, that he brought along for snacks, was the best I ever had. We trolled along with a few other boats that were out there and passed each other several times, but our boat was the only one that was successful, with 2 kings. I attribute this to his knowledge about how deep to fish and how fast to troll. I will definitely book with him again the next time I come up. He is a serious and well-seasoned angler.He and his wife, who joined us, were easy to talk to and we shared fish stories and he told me all about Alaska.Thanks Mark and to your wife, who did a fantastic job filming me on the one hook-up.

Fishing trip. We recently took an Alaskan cruise. On our Ketchikan stop we fished with Oasis. They were booked outside what the cruise offered. Took a short cab ride. They were waiting ready for us. Great trip..nice boat..great captain. It was small (only the 4 of us). The scenery was some of the best of the trip. We caught a lot if fish. When we returned to dock, they arranged processing and shipment home. Taxi waiting, then back to ship. Going back to stay and fish for a week.

September Chartered Fishing Trip Very professional and friendly fishing service. Very knowledgeable about the area and where to actually locate the fishing grounds and not just go with the masses. Better success than any other people on our cruise ship.

Another full day out with captain Murray. Last year we had a full day with captain Murray and we limited out on halibut,cod and sea bass as well as a bunch of salmon. This year was more of the same as we had six of us instead of four last year. Didn’t make a difference. We all limited out on the same fish and a lot of salmon. This guide is so busy baiting hooks , netting fish ,watching the fish finder,moving back on the fish after minutes of no bites. I just can’t imagine a better guide. He does the work of three people and when you get back you know where the money was spent and it was well worth it. Captain Murray, thank you for another amazing experience!Hope to do it again next year.

GREAT Experience We had an amazing time with our Captain Murray! The salmon were a little slow but we did catch a few Kings, a yellow eyed rockfish and a number of rockfish. The overall experience was awesome! We had a great time and even got to see humpback whales. We would definitely book with them again.

Salmon fishing with friends We had a great time, fishing was good. Mostly we caught pinks, some silvers, and a few kings. Which we put back. Everyone enjoyed the Captain with his knowledge and sense of humor. A great time was had by all. Would do it again gladly.

Oasis was an awesome adventure! Murray, Axle, Chris, and Thomas are All awesome fishing guides! They kept us on the fish all day long and kept our hooks in the water. I never expected to catch the amount of fish we did. We caught everything! King salmon, Coho Salmon, Pink Salmon, Halibut, Sea Bass and more. I would definitely go back today. The guides are fun and professional, not to mention the owners are a class act! Great atmosphere, great people, I feel like I left some friends behind when I came home....... Ketchikan Salmon FIshing was Outstanding! Fishing in Ketchikan was by far our favorite Alaskan experience. Our guide Murray was fantastic. He was personable and knowledgeable. He made our experience authentic and fun. Hand down 5 star service from start to finish.

Amazing fishing excursion! This was a rescheduled family trip from 2020 for a group of 10. Half went salmon fishing with Drew, the others halibut fishing with Hunter. Right from the start, the staff at Oasis Alaska Charters was very responsive - they answered my emails in a timely fashion (usually within minutes!) The shuttle service from the cruise terminal was very convenient and reasonably priced - definitely recommended. Our fishing experience was amazing - looking forward to the arrival of our fish! We had a great time!

Great fishing in Alaska! Chartered a private fishing trip for myself and my 23 old grandson. Our captain and his sister were great even though it was windy and raining the whole day. Caught a couple of small King Salmon and a couple of nice sizedRrockfish. Grandson had a great time and I had fun watching him from the cabin staying dry! Great company to go fishing with while visiting Ketchikan.

September Silvers are Fantastic! From my reservation to packing out the fish, Oasis Charters had excellent organisation, responsiveness and efficiency. We chartered two boats for 9 people to go after the September Silvers (Coho Salmon). The fishing was slow for about an hour, but after Capt. Murry found the fish he kept us ON the fish! Before it was all over we had each caught 2 fish in the 10-12 lbs. range. Really gotta hand it to Capt. Murry for finding the fish, helping us wrestle them into the cold box and maximizing our time on the water. Fish ON!

Halibut Galore We had an awesome fishing trip, catching our maximum number of Halibut allowed. Our captain, Murray was excellent and definitely made our excursion fun. I would highly recommend this fishing trip to you.

Family Salmon Fishing in Ketchikan The team at Oasis hosted a great fishing experience for our family. We had a range of ages from 11 to 80 and a mix of inexperienced and experienced anglers. Murray, our guide, handled our group professionally while being entertaining and best of all he tried hard to put us on as much fish as possible. Pickup and drop-off from the cruise terminal was easy. Definitely recommend a trip with Oasis.

Awesome Fishing Trip Captain Murray was awesome! We caught our limit on Halibut, then caught some salmon. An eagle hovered above our boat and we were able to get some great photos.

We signed up for the shuttle and they picked us up at our cruise ship. Any time I had questions, I was able to send them a text and they got right back to me.

Amazing fishing We booked independently from our cruise ship and had the best time. Many on ship were very dissatisfied with their experience through the cruise line. Logan, our Captain was great and knew his job well. We got our limit in two hours of halibut and then had the bonus of salmon fishing. We would like to go back and just experience Clover Pass in Ketchikan. If the charter had gone differently and we were unable to catch fish, we would have still had a blast due to the down to Earth and friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Excellent trip again!!! We had used Oasis Charters when we visited Alaska in 2016 and when we came back to Alaska again July 2018 we definitely had to use Oasis again. The whole experience was AAA rating. The captains are great and make sure you catch what you are fishing for. The office people courteous and helpful!!! I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who wants a great time of fishing!! I guarantee that whenever we come to Ketchikan we will definitely fish with Oasis Charters!!!

Timely, Great Service We were at The Oasis dock 25 minutes after our ship docked. We waited less than 10 minutes for our Captain Desmond to meet us. Once we got the licenses we were out fishing. While it was “shoulder” season we still managed to catch 7 fish. It was a great time.

I know for many going to Alaska is all about the fish count. For us it is more about the experience and being on the water in such a beautiful place. We would have enjoyed this trip even if our fish count was not so high and that says a lot about the area and the Captain.

Fishing gear was top of the line, boat was very nice, especially for the area with an indoor area to sit and then a large fishing platform.

After we finished processing our catch was a breeze. They come right to the boat and take care of it from there. We now have a freezer full of fresh Alaskan Silver Salmon.

We highly recommend this charter service. I know Hunter and the other captains of this group were also working as a team communicating with each-other over the radio trying to get everyone fish on all of their boats. So even if you don't get Captain Hunter, I am positive you will have a great day on the water from the Team Work I saw throughout the day.

My best charter in Ketchikan Absolutely wonderful charter with oasis. We had captain Murray for two long range fishing trips, he was patient and funny and worked his ass off to get us on fish. I've used several different charters in prior years but oasis was a family affair and you felt it. Best Fishing Trip! One of the items on our family bucket list was to fish for halibut in the waters of Alaska. Not only did we get to fish, but we were able to limit out! Murray was the best captain and knew exactly where they were biting! There wasn't a dull minute the whole time! So nice to be able to leave our fish at the resort and have them process it and they sent it right to our home! Awesome experience!

Wonderful fishing charter experience We chartered two fishing boats for our excursion, while our cruise ship was docked in Ketchikan. We used Sourdough taxi to bring us conveniently to and from the pier. We ended up shipping our catch home through Clover Pass. I recommend Oasis highly and without reservation!

Such a fun trip! We chartered two boats for 7 of us, and we had a blast. It was chilly and rainy, and it didn't even phase us. Our fishing guys were great, we had all fished before but none of us were experts by any means, and they helped us all to reel in fish and get some pics! The landscape was stunning, and the salmon were flowing :). Would definitely recommend!

Great fishing We had a great time in Alaska with Oasis Alaska Charters and Captain Thomas taking a half day halibut cruise. Even though we didn't catch any halibut, we caught our limit of Rockfish - the ugliest fish we've ever seen with one catch 4 ounces off the state record! It was processed and sent home for delicious eating and a wonderful remembrance of our time. Captain Thomas was friendly, easy-going and fun. We highly recommend a tour and would encourage making it a whole day tour..

Halibut & King Salmon Capt. Hunter was awesome, we had so much fun!! My wife does not fish much but he made it very very easy for her to land some nice fish! Hats off to Hunter thank you soo much for a great time!

Great job Booked a charter for myself and a friend. This was our first fishing trip to Alaska. Oasis seems to be the only one that will do a two person charter. Cost a little more but well worth it. Our captain Murray was great The weather was not the best but he tried putting us on the fish. Could only fish certain areas one day because of the weather but we did manage to catch fish, not as many as we would have liked but given the conditions not bad. If you want someone who will work their butt off trying to catch fish, book with Oasis and ask for Murray. If I get the chance to go back will fish with them againSidney from North Carolina

2 Person fishing trip A buddy and I booked a one day trip and got Captain Murray. We had a great time, caught a ton of fish and the trip would have been even better, but we had to catch a flight and cut the day short. We're thinking of going back for an overnight trip to the end of Prince of Wales.

Awesome Reunion with Oasis Alaska Charters We had heard that the cruise lines were not visiting Ketchikan and felt like we needed to joint Mark, Joanne and Capt Murray to help with Covid 2020. What a great time, weather was ok, but Murray put us on the fish and we enjoyed our scheduled two days so well that we all extended to a third day, where we slayed salmon and halibut. Great time had by all and we will be back!!! Cheers to a great organization.

Last trip of the season 092316 Expected the fishing to be slower this late in the season and only fishing about 4 hours because have to get back to the cruise ship. Fishing was awsome, only went 1/4 mile from slip and only covered one small area which we shared with whales and bald eagles the whole time. We caught 5 fish and had many more bites. If that is slow I will take it any day. We told the lady cab driver we would get her a filet and we did-she was really happy. We didn't ship any fish because would have to have lots more meat to make it worth while. Our captain Mark really knows the fishery up there. I am going to do a full day and target Halibut with him on our next charter. I have my own boat in San Diego and have been fishing bluefin tuna all summer and this was a great change of pace. Best part was I didn't have to clean the boat when we got back to the dock.

Great fishing trip The Captain worked overtime to catch fish. Boat is roomy and nice. Big cabin to get out of the weather. Picked us up and dropped us off so the whole day was easy. Fish processing right on site.

Amazing fishing trip We travelled to Ketchikan for the sole purpose of a once in a lifetime fishing trip. After a full day outing with captain Murray we were more than satisfied. After getting our limits of halibut right away, captain Murray went to work getting us giant lings and limits on black cod as well as salmon and many others. Scenery consisted of plenty of whales , otters and bald eagles. Amazing day!

What the Halibut?? We booked Oasis independently of our cruise ship while we were in port. Our son made all the arrangements for our family of five, grown sons and daughter in law, and everything went very smoothly. We went out with Captain Hunter and while he was still setting up the the second fishing pole, boom! Caught the first halibut! The hits just kept coming after that!! We had a great fishing experience with Captain Hunter, he was very knowledgeable! All in all we caught our limit in halibut, threw some back to finish growing and we also caught a few Pacific Cod. It was still early in the season, a rainy, cloudy cold day but we had a blast! Definitely book your fishing trip with Oasis when in Ketchikan!!

Reliable, honest , professional, hard working I had a pleasure dealing with Mark and Joann planning our day in Ketchikan during our cruise. To start with, they informed me that we couldn’t keep any of the King salmon that we catch because of state regulations. So, they agreed to take us bottom fishing, which is normally more expensive. Then, they also honored the coupon that came out after i made my reservation. I communicated with them via email and phone, and the response was always prompt. When we arrived, everything was exactly how it was described on their website. We were met by Captain Thomas, who couldn’t be more accommodating and patient with our sons. We caught and released one King salmon and then caught a bunch of Rock Fish. Again, there was not a hint of irritation when my son asked him the same question for the 100th time. Thomas is very patient and knowledgeable on many types of fish. He tried to find the best location for fishing. On the way back, we saw some bold eagles but not any other wild life. But, that’s just luck. I would not hesitate using this company again, and would definitely recommend it to anyone.
