Not to be missed. This really was an excellent experience - in my mind one of the highlights of my entire Alaska experience. Captain Murray was top notch - would definitely recommend.

Don’t Think Twice! We had an absolute blast with Captain Hunter on our 4 hour halibut trip!! My husband and I caught over 30 fish in 4 hours. We caught a variety of fish including: coho, pink salmon, king salmon, chum, and halibut. Our lines were busy the entire time on the water. We were so fortunate to have a calm and hard working guide provide us with the best experience. Thank you so much for making this one of the highlights of our vacation!!! They also filet and ship home. We sailed on a cruise and booked this ourselves. They were timely with pickup and drop off and super friendly too. If you are debating whether or not to book this trip, it’s a definite yes!!

Fantastic Fishing Experience - Book it! My husband and I booked a private charter for Halibut fishing but we actually did both Halibut and Salmon. We had such a great time, our Captain was experienced and did all the hard work while we just brought the fish in abundance. We were able to ship our fish home, which we will enjoy with family.Highly recommend this experience, you will be happy with your catch!

If you are going fishing, choose no other outfitter! I can't say enough about our experience. From the time we booked the reservation, to giving high fives on the boat, it was perfect. The communication was great from the start and if you follow the directions, it is such a smooth process. The ride up to the harbor was beautiful and worth the taxi fare to get away from the ships. Our captain was awesome and put us on fish in the first 30 minutes. I can't promise you will have the same luck, but I assure you will work their butts off for you. Book this charter, you will not be disappointed.

EPIC The favorite part was catching so many Coho's. Salmon fishing was on my husband's bucket list. We were on a 9-day Alaskan cruise. Fishing was one of the last things we planned. I had hoped and prayed that this fishing adventure would exceed my husband's expectations. It did...ON EVERY LEVEL!!!! From the shuttle ride from/to the port, to the boat and captain (Drew), to the weather (sunny, no winds...in September), to the fishing...EVERYTHING was absolutely wonderful! Amazing Salmon Fishing! Captain Murray is a fantastic guide! Let me preface this review by saying this was our second private fishing trip in Alaska. The first one, the day before was fun and we caught several salmon. However, Oasis Charter with Captain Murray was really exceptional! The boat was extremely clean and very nice. Murray made everything easy and fun! We caught a lot of coho salmon that we had shipped home. Best tasting fish we’ve ever eaten. Murray took us to several fishing sites and along the way pointed out many interesting sights! We plan to come book again book with Oasis and Murray in the near future!

Great job Booked a charter for myself and a friend. This was our first fishing trip to Alaska. Oasis seems to be the only one that will do a two person charter. Cost a little more but well worth it. Our captain Murray was great The weather was not the best but he tried putting us on the fish. Could only fish certain areas one day because of the weather but we did manage to catch fish, not as many as we would have liked but given the conditions not bad. If you want someone who will work their butt off trying to catch fish, book with Oasis and ask for Murray. If I get the chance to go back will fish with them againSidney from North Carolina

Great all around trip My son and I went on a four halibut trip. We were fishing within fifteen minutes of leaving the dock. The boat had everything we needed and the captain and crew were extremely friendly and helpful. It was an awesome experience! The Clover Pass crew made it easy to process our fish and ship them home. I would definitely recommend Oasis Alaska Charters to anyone!

Best fishing trip ever I could not have asked for a better fishing charter. They knew that we had a limited amount of time for fishing because we had to get back to our cruise ship, so they did everything they could to get us on the water and fishing asap. We left the dock and were catching fish within 15 minutes. Captain Murray found a honey hole and helped us put 41 fish on ice in about 3 1/2 hours. We had a great time and would happily use Oasis Alaska Charters again. I've already recommended them to several friends.

Awesome Alaskan Fishing Experience We were in Ketchikan with the Disney Cruise (had my 7 year old son with us) and instead of booking with them and getting random people on our boat I booked through Oasis and it was a great decision! We had the boat to ourselves and Capt. Tom was a great guide, we had salmon on the lines within the 1st ten minutes of our trip! Tom was very attentive and knowledgeable about the waters and local information! If you're in Ketchikan and want to get in some good fishing in with the family or friends I highly recommend Oasis Alaska Charters just take a look at the pics!!

Not as successful as I hoped Didn't catch anything.. Captain relatively new to area. Water was kinda rough that afternoon. Perhaps afternoons are not best for salmon fishing.

Halibut Fishing Day We had the absolute best day with Capt. Hunter out fishing for halibut. It was very relaxing, fun and successful. We caught several halibut as well as a Ling Cod which is very rare. Hunter was very easygoing and accommodating. The owner, Mark, picked us up and dropped us back off at our cruise ship pier for a very smooth experience. We highly recommend Oasis for a great fishing experience.

A great fishing experience Today, my husband and I went out on a charter with captain Matt. We knew it was a little early in the season and heard the fishing wasn't that great yet... But we decided to go anyways and give it a shot. Well, the fish weren't biting but captain Matt went above and beyond to get us a fish. He was even willing to stay out longer than we had originally booked and made sure we didn't go back in until we caught some halibut. A fantastic time in Alaska! We had so much fun, we even caught some fish! Definitely one of the absolute highlights of our Alaskan vacation. The boat was the perfect size. It was just the six of us so there weren’t tons of people trying to fish at one time getting their lines crossed, etc. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to go fishing to book your tour through Oasis Alaska Charters.

Ketchikan 2024 My nephews and I had two wonderful days fishing with Captain Hunter. He is friendly, fast, and knowledgeable. Day 1 we caught our limits of everything. Day 2 caught limits of halibut and rockfish. Kings were a little harder to find, but Hunter worked hard and we caught 2 and lost more. I'm looking forward to next year.

Great day of fishing. Great fishing charter. We were picked up from our cruise on time and learned about the local town during our drive. We got our limit of halibut. We had them shipped to our house and the beautiful filets arrived as promised.

Great Trip We fished Captain Marie and Deckhand Megan's last charter of the summer. They were very professional, I think we caught more salmon than any boat I saw that morning. We had some first time fishermen and they were very patient and helpful. I would recommend this company to anyone interested.

Incredible salmon fishing experience The wife and I were on a cruise and wanted to go salmon fishing! This did not disappoint! I did a lot of research on the various charter boats and chose this one and it was an incredible experience. Communication was great! We had them pick us up and it was stress free! We caught 13 fish during the 4 hour tour! We shipped them back home super easy process they handle right at the dock made it back to the ship with plenty of time to spare! We were also pretty amateur fishermen and Josh was amazing! Highly recommend we booked separately from the cruise line and no issues!

Amazing Fishing Trip - Highly recommend - Would definitely book again!!! Hunter (The Predator) was awesome. We caught more salmon than we could have imagined. Can't wait for the salmon to arrive so that we can enjoy it. Our two grandson's and son in law talked about what a great time they had every day during the remainder of the trip. My husband, who could not fish, could not say enough about the experience. We highly recommend this charter. It definitely surpassed any expectations we had.

Better than cruise ship excursion We heard that through the cruise ship excursions, you could have 6 guests and only 4 lines, so decided to go private for our salmon fishing charter. This did mean we had to spend ~$40 each way for the taxi, but got to see some of the town between and had opportunity to stop for beer. We were there this first week of June and were unfortunate with significant rain for most of our time on the water; however, I am proud to say we caught 1 rockfish and 1 king salmon. One interesting thing to note is when you book, it is sounds like good odds of getting some fish, and then on board it becomes much less unlikely… so temper your expectations, and maybe negotiate for a low season rental rate. Our guide Thomas was helpful, kind and knowledgeable, and the dock crew helped slice and send our fish home to enjoy. We would recommend this group and would use them again.

Good times Josh Anderson was our captain and he did a great job. Showed a lot of patience and did his best to help us catch fish. Did the 4 hour tour and probably should have booked the 6. Overall, great experience.

Great trip again This was our second time fishing with Oasis. It was probably the worst fishing that I have experienced in Alaska, but it definitely was no fault of Oasis or Capt. Chris.
The weather just turned bad and the seas were pretty rough.
Chris tried hard to get us on some good fishing. I think he really went overboard to try and get us lots of fish, but it just wasn't the day for it.
We brought fish home, but not near as much as usual or as we would have liked, but it was still a great and fun adventure.
Id recommend Oasis to anyone.

Marvelous Halibut Charter Wonderful day Halibut fishing with Oasis at Ketchikan. The weather was very pleasant as all 6 of us caught a Halibut ranging from 25lbs to 15lbs. Had them processed and shipped back home tasty! Our Captain was very attentive and knew how to dialogue with our group fun times. Make sure to say hi to Steve, the bald eagle. Saw a dozen whales and lots of eagles. They picked us up at the port and returned us to Creek Street. Highly recommend and much less expensive than going through Princess.

Best Fishing Trip Ever I'm the President of Purple Heart Anglers a 501c3 non-profit. We take Disabled Veterans fishing and hunting. This was our 9th year with Oasis Alaska Charters, and we are already booked for 2023. The whole thing was excellent. From the beginning to the end. We had 12 people this year and plan on 12 for next year. The captains were knowledgeable, accommodating to our Disabled Veterans needs and made sure everybody had the "Trip of a Lifetime" we said it would be.
Cannot thank them all enough for a great fishing experience.

Salmon fishing Our guide, Des was excellent. Very knowledgeable and made our experience very memorable. We caught 12 salmon while out with him.

Nice idea but disappointed We booked a fishing charter for a recent trip to Ketchikan. This was the big 'splurge' excursion on our seven day cruise, something my husband really wanted to do, and I booked the boat for just the 2 of us (you can have as many as 6), because we really wanted it to be special. First, I will say that Mark, the owner of the company, was very nice and easy to deal with through our email correspondence leading up to the trip. He even extended us a 10% discount he advertised for May excursions after I had already booked. The boat was kept in very nice order. We were able to obtain our fishing licenses right there and it only took a couple of minutes. But sadly we discovered the reason for the discount. There was only one other boat out on the bay. Apparently, we were the first fishing tour of the season, as season would actually not start for a another two weeks. The first time this was ever mentioned to us was by our cab driver on the way out to the boat. If the cab driver knew, you can be certain the fishing guide did as well.I was a little surprised that after boarding the boat, we travelled only a very short distance from the dock. I guess I was hoping for a little boat ride to the fishing spot, but it was right there. Ok. This was a 4 hour tour and we basically trolled back and forth within a short distance. As it turns out, the cab driver was absolutely right. We did not get a single bite from a salmon. (We caught one very small ling cod, which we fed to an eagle. (Okay, that was cool). But from everything we had read, the salmon were supposed to practically jump into the boat. I believe if we went in July, we would have caught plenty of fish and had a very happy and different experience. Like I said, nice guy, nice boat, beautiful scenery, but no fish. None. Between the cost of the charter, the tip, the license, and the $80 round trip cab ride from ship, the 4 hours ended up costing about $600 for the two of us. And I had to stop at the supermarket when I got home to buy some salmon. Now I realize that there is no guarantee that you will catch anything. I was told several times that that's why they call it 'fishing' and not 'catching'. But that is also why they call themselves 'guides", not 'tenderfoots'. I think as an experienced captain, Mark should have known the fish weren't running at all yet. Everyone in town knew. Knowing there would be no fish, we should have had an opportunity to cancel and take advantage of another excursion. Or, I think he could/should have realized at some point that there was nothing running (I am very experienced with ocean fishing, and I did!) and offered to cut the trip short with an appropriate discount. He also could have offered a variation like a boat tour, some whale watching, something. He talked a lot about the summer and how many boats would be out and how you couldn't pull the salmon in fast enough. Didn't make me feel any better. When we were done, he apologized to my husband for the disappointment and said he did warn me in an email that it might be too early in the season. I do not remember getting any such email. I wouldn't have taken the chance because it was so expensive. So, I am giving it 3 stars because I think if you go in the summer you will have a great time and catch lots of fish. Mark and his boat, very nice. But don't go at the beginning of May and I am dinging off 2 stars because I think Mark knew and should have been more up front about our expectations

We had a great time with Captain Murray! We had a short trip to Clover Pass from the Cruise Port and quickly got on our boat with Captain Murray. We were catching fish within minutes and quickly caught our limit of salmon. I even caught a nice halibut before we ran out of time. We would love to do it again sometime.

Awesome family experiance Our family had 9 total on the boats, each guide was amazing and made a memory of a lifetime for our family. It was a blessing, and a blast. We caught so many fish, the shipping was easy and painless, the fish was great beer battered and fried next we are trying fish tacos with the halibut. We definitely recommend this company to anyone out there who wants to fish.

Absolutely the best fishing experience we've ever had. This Trip was a great experience for my son and I, the most important thing for use was the fact that this was a private charter, it was just the two of us. You'd be hard pressed to find another company doing that. We each caught a keeper King Salmon (29" and 30") . We caught and released several other Kings as well. Our Captain Josh got us on the fish right away, boating out first King less than 10 minutes after dropping the down riggers. Everybody that asks my son what was the best part of our Alaskan cruise gets the answer "fishing" so I think this trip is a trip he'll remember for the rest of his life which was exactly what I was hoping it would be....Thanks to all at Oasis Alaskan Charters for creating that memory for us.

Perfect for cruise ship passengers Murray was an excellent guide and we started catching fish within 10 minutes of departure. If we make it back, I would definitely request Murray again. Oasis is perfect for cruise ship passengers with a limited timeframe in Ketchikan. The shuttle picked us up within 10 min of departure from the cruise ship and the transfer to the marina was seamless. We had our fish shipped home and it arrived cold and perfectly packaged. Communication from Oasis Alaska Charters was perfect. Several weeks prior to our trip, we began receiving confirmation emails with details and reminders to purchase a fishing license. Considering we were traveling across the entire country for this trip, the communication was much appreciated. I would highly recommend Oasis Alaska Charters.

Very comfortable fishing with Oasis This is my third year( 6 outings) fishing with Oasis. Their guides always try hard to put us in the fish. They understand the significance of someone spending their hard earned money to fish Alaska waters. I have never left disappointed with Oasis.

Great experience! Every aspect of the trip was top notch. We showed up early and so did the captain and we got a 30 minute early start! Caught 7 quick pink salmon for fresh bait and the cooler box and we were off for halibut fishing. We caught so many variety of fish it was hard to keep track. We finished the 4 hour trip with a great mixed bag of fish. The captain was great, the boat was well equipped and clean. I'd recommend to anyone.

6 hour Halibut and Salmon Mark was fast to respond when I left a message to book the trip and we took advantage of their shuttle van. Hunter was our Captain and did a great job finding fish on our 6 hour Halibut and Salmon trip. With a little time left to spare, Hunter let us jig for Sea Bass and he kept the boat over the fish. It was a great trip and we would definitely book with Oasis again!

GREAT Experience We had an amazing time with our Captain Murray! The salmon were a little slow but we did catch a few Kings, a yellow eyed rockfish and a number of rockfish. The overall experience was awesome! We had a great time and even got to see humpback whales. We would definitely book with them again.

112 pounds of fish!!! Sometimes you just want to get away with some friends, get out on a boat and fish until you’ve had your fill!

I planned a four day getaway with the husband and 5 friends to Ketchikan. I called months in advance as I’d heard things fill up quickly. After calling several companies, I opted for Oasis because of the stellar customer service and reasonable prices. JoAnn answered all of my questions and even made recommendations. It was a wonderful experience.

The first day was an all-day salmon and halibut trip with Captain Murray. We caught the limit!

We had such a good time, we decided to return the next day for a half-day halibut trip with Captain Thomas. Once again, we caught our limit!

In total, after all of the fish was processed and filleted, we came home with 112 pounds of halibut, pacific cod, coho (silver) salmon, yelloweye rockfish, and silvergrey rockfish.

It was a perfect trip. We couldn’t have asked for a better time!

6hr salmon/halibut charter Went out on July 5th with a good friend of mine to catch some halibut. Due to stupidity on my part from the night before,I was out of commission the entire trip and didn’t pick up a pole. But my friend had a good time and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Despite my best efforts to feed the fish, my friend was unable to pull anything in worth keeping, but that’s fishing, and I would go with them again if I am back in Ketchikan.

Spectacular day of fishing! We had a fantastic time with Captain Murray. He was just awesome. So attentive and really knew his stuff. We were catching so many fish -halibut and Salmon- that it was hard to even keep up! My dad and brother have been on many fishing charters and said by far this was the most successful trip we have ever had. We caught more fish than we can probably ever eat! Great day! Also saw some whales as a bonus. Thank you Murray! We loved spending the day with you!

Halibut Heaven!!! Fished two half day trips with Josh and caught a limit of halibut both days. What a blast. even did a little salmon trolling. Great guide and a nice person. Don't forget to tip 10-20%. Gas is expensive and the cost of living in AK is high.

Salmon fishing with Captain Mike was amazing! Our group was my Mom (75), my brother (35) myself (52). It was perfect for all of us. I was worried about my Mom because she has had two knee replacements, but our captain made sure she was safe and even reeled in two fish. We had our fish processed and shipped home right from the dock at Clover Pass. We took a taxi to Clover Pass and it gave us the opportunity to see more of Ketchikan. It was super easy. This was my third time to fish in Ketchikan while cruising and this charter was excellent! I would highly recommend this company to anyone who is considering a private charter.

Fishing for salmon in Alaska My husband and I had a fun 4 hours on the water and caught two Coho salmon. We had them sent home and just enjoyed a dinner of our catch. Our captain was very nice and handled everything professionally.

Fishing fun !! This trip had been planned earlier in the year. We had been looking forward to it and were not disappointed. We booked a package deal that included lodging at Clover Pass. We fished three days with Captain Murray and had a great time. We caught more fish than most every day. Halibut, Rockfish, Lingcod and Salmon. Brought home enough to share....

Halibut Fishing 23 May 2019 Boat was well maintained, clean and operated flawlessly in ruff seas. Captain knows fishing period (i have been fishing 60+ years). Enjoyable 4 hours. Boated 3 Halibut - all under 7 pounds, 6 Turbot and a Rat fish - the highlight.

Amazing fishing excursion! This was a rescheduled family trip from 2020 for a group of 10. Half went salmon fishing with Drew, the others halibut fishing with Hunter. Right from the start, the staff at Oasis Alaska Charters was very responsive - they answered my emails in a timely fashion (usually within minutes!) The shuttle service from the cruise terminal was very convenient and reasonably priced - definitely recommended. Our fishing experience was amazing - looking forward to the arrival of our fish! We had a great time!

What a blast! Me and some buddies had the opportunity recently to take a day trip out with Oasis. Desmond and First Mate (and daughter Alexa) met us at the dock and in a short few minutes we had the paper work done and were off. Of course it was raining as it is SE Alaska in September but that did not deter from the fun of fishing that day. After only traveling out about 30 minutes Desmond sets up our poles and we're fishing. Doesn't take long at all and WHAM we are getting hits. First we pull in a nice Pink. A few minutes later after Desmond resets that bait and downriggers, two hits just seconds apart. Brought them both in! Nice Coho's. Although we did loose a few, the highlight of salmon fishing this day was having four poles in the water and having action on all four. We did manage to bring three on board! Salmon fishing was a blast but by late morning Desmond knew the salmon would stop biting and we headed a short distance and anchored 350 feet deep for halibut. WOW, never knew the action on bottom fishing! We only had a short amount of time to continue fishing but brought some cod on board as well as a 15 pound halibut. In total we hauled in 15 fish in a very short time. Dock crew were great also. Met us at the dock, hauled our fish to processing, filet them and shipped to my door when I returned. Very easy for vacationers.Hats off again to Skipper Desmond and Alexa! Great experience. You know your fishing and I can't wait to do it again!

Amazing and incredible fishing experience My daughter and I had the pleasure of fishing with Oasis in early August 2022 for Halibut and Salmon. We selected a four-hour tour as we were on an Alaskan cruise. We decided to select them as our tour guide as I believe they were the only charter offering private tours. Most of the companies combine groups and as much as I love meeting new people, the thought of sharing a boat with others didn’t interest me at all. As we were on an Alaskan cruise, we reached out to Mark and JoAnn in early March and booked ahead of time to ensure we had a spot. They were very responsive and answered our questions in a timely manner and the process of making the deposit was easy. On the day of the fishing trip, one of the owners, Mark, picked us up at the cruise port, he was on time and my daughter was excited to be graced with the presence of their dogs for the 25-minute trip to the dock. The cost of the transportation was added to the price of the tour which is standard practice. Upon arrival at the dock, I was introduced to our Captain named Hunter. He advised that I would require a fishing license for the trip so I proceeded to purchase one for $15 dollars in the shop near the dock. While I was heading back to the dock to proceed on our exciting adventure, Hunter and my daughter were fishing off the dock as there was a large school of pink salmon right beside the boat (at this point I got excited as I knew the day would be fruitful). Hunter was a great guide and amazing with my 8-year-old daughter. He was knowledgeable, patient, and overall the best Captain I have ever had the experience of deep sea fishing with. On the boat, he offered us some snacks and drinks. If you are heading out for a tour, I would recommend bringing some food onboard, just in case you do get hungry . Originally, we were brought out to fish solely for Halibut, but after hearing how well the previous group did on their morning tour we opted to fish for both Halibut and Salmon. One should remember that during these tours you’re not guaranteed to catch mass quantities of fish, so manage your expectations accordingly . Luckily, my daughter and I landed 4 Halibut, 22 pink salmon, and a Coho. In addition, I would say that we had over 20 fish that broke off the line. What an incredible experience for myself and my daughter. I was also surprised at how many double headers we had during our trip. I do wish my daughter was a bit stronger as she had a very difficult time reeling in some of the fish. Regardless, Hunter and I tried our best to make it feel like she was doing most of the work. Man, my forearms were sore the next day (a nice problem to have).To be honest, I don’t think I could have had a better day on the water. The fish were biting, the weather was great and our guide Hunter was AMAZING! If you’re looking to book a tour don’t hesitate to book with Oasis (they exceeded my expectations). They’re a well-run family company that cares for their client’s experience. I hope that I have the opportunity to share more memories with Oasis if I ever travel back to Ketchikan.

Great team, good fishing and would book again. We had a great time! The team was great at communicating with about shuttle transportation. The captain was easy to talk to and found fish quickly and consistently. Was very happy with the charter and would book again.

Outstanding Fishing Guide Service! We bottom fished with Murray on July 4th and caught our limit of Halibut and Yelloweye! The boat was nice and well equipped and the guide was knowledgeable and eager to help us catch fish!

Ketchikan Fishing The pre-fishing information on how to get a fishing license, taxi contact and planning for departure and return to our cruise ship. Chris our captain was knowledgeable about the recent movement of halibut and king salmon. Likewise, Chris was engaging with our group on fishing and other Alaskan experiences. Our party of 3 caught halibut and king salmon even though it was early in the season (June 6th, 2019). We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 hour trip and had a beautiful day on the water near Prince of Wales Island.

Halibut Fishing so disappointing and waste of money We went in Charter boat with Oasis Charters on August 6, 2018 for a halibut fishing. We had captain Cris. We had to drive a long ways like almost an hour one way. Did not catch any fish at all. For the 4 hour we had like about 2 1/2 hrs of fishing and had 2 bites. Paid a lot of money for nothing. You can’t even touch the pole or cast because the captain has to, Very disappointing. Never go to a charter boat again. If we come back we will have to do our own fishing coz it’s not worth it. Waste of money. I hope my husband will get some refund from Oasis charter Boats.

FISH ON! Captain Murry put us on fish. We were very satisfied. Would like to do it again someday. And, we had beautiful weather and saw a couple of whales on our way back to the dock.

Poor to average Trip was hurried and very overpriced for what you got. Boast was in constant motion, no casting at all by us. Just trolling around and that was it. I think we reeled in like 3 fish. The guide was nice though. That’s the only reason I gave a 2 Star. It would have gotten a 1 if not for him. Very disappointed.

Halibut Fishing Went halibut fishing in the end of May 2017.The weather was horrible, windy and raining.We ended catching halibut and came back early.The captain was great. The whole experience was great.He even offered to go for some salmon but one of our guest was sea sick.I will definitely go back

Excellent fishing trip! My husband and I, my brother in law and his wife chartered a boat with oasis to catch some king salmon and halibut. We went out with Captain Murray. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a fun and fruitful fishing trip. I’ve never caught a salmon that big before! He knows what he’s doing. We really appreciate it!

Excellent Charter! We chartered the Oasis for my family to take a short 4 hour fishing trip when we visited Ketchikan Alaska! We could not have been more pleased with our charter! Mike was our Captain - he was awesome! We had an excellent time and would definitely recommend Oasis to anyone visiting the area. We only wished we had more time to fish!

Highly Recommend! This fishing trip was amazing! The boat ride out to the fishing spot was very beautiful and once we were settled, we saw some whales and even had a bald eagle pay us a visit! Hunter was an amazing captain, we caught 3 halibut and even when the biting was slow, Hunter kept us in high spirits - he is super friendly and knowledgeable!

Amazing Trip Oasis Charters literally saved our trip. Our original plans blew up due to Covid and JoAnn and our captain, Chris, stepped in and completely blew us away with an incredible trip. We originally were scheduled with Oasis for a 1 day trip, and ended up going out with Chris for all 4 days. Chris was a blast and put us on the fish each day, catching everything from Salmon and Halibut, to Sea Bass, cod and rockfish. We will be back again next year and the ONLY choice is Oasis Alaska Charters. What an amazing trip! See you next year.

Great fishing and boat captain My father-in-law and I chartered with Oasis for a 4 hour salmon trip. Overall the experience was good and the captain, Hunter, was excellent and we enjoyed our afternoon.

The one disappointing part was the transportation. We were on a cruise that docked in a new area west of town. Taxis could not enter the area, so Oasis picked us up and brought us back in their van. A 10 minute trip each way. After spending $640 for a private charter for 2, Oasis charged me an additional $80 for the 20 minutes in their van!!!! Got to be honest, I thought that was a little greedy.

Awesome We caught our limit of Pink Salmon in about an hour and spent the rest of our time trolling for Kings. A great experience with our guide Hunter!

Fun catching Salmon My two sons and I had a great time bobbing on the boat and catching salmon! We only fished 3 hours but had 8 hits and reeled in two! They are now in my freezer ready to eat!

Best Fishing Trip Ever Perfect trip. Drew and Joann were amazing and very accommodating. The fishing system was down at the state level and Joann drove us to get the license. Drew was our captain and we caught our limit of halibut in about two hours. This left time for salmon fishing and we caught seven salmon (6 pink and a coho). This was in a four hour trip. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Two Fantastic Days of Fishing It was such a great time to spend with family on the water this past week. Murray was phenomenal in getting us into the middle of the Coho school and we had multiple fish on the line at the same time throughout two days out there. Oasis charters halibut and salmon fishing We had an amazing experience and will be back next year.Our captain Chris put us on a lot of fish.He has years of experience and shared his knowledge of fishing and the area with us.He had a sincere concern for us enjoying our time there and catching fish.I recommend both Oasis and Chris and I am thankfull for the fish we will enjoy for months to come and the memories we have for a life time.

Halibut Heaven!!! Fished two half day trips with Josh and caught a limit of halibut both days. What a blast. even did a little salmon trolling. Great guide and a nice person. Don't forget to tip 10-20%. Gas is expensive and the cost of living in AK is high.

Salmon fishing with friends We had a great time, fishing was good. Mostly we caught pinks, some silvers, and a few kings. Which we put back. Everyone enjoyed the Captain with his knowledge and sense of humor. A great time was had by all. Would do it again gladly.

Excellent Halibut and Sea Bass Fishing in Ketchikan My husband, father in law, and I booked a 4 hour Halibut tour outside of our cruise ship- We were in port from 1230p-730p and wanted a more personalized experience rather then going through the cruise line. I am SO GLAD THAT WE DID because we had a great day and ended up with a nice catch of fish! This operation offered transportation from the cruise ship to the marina. As we were getting off the ship, Mark, called us and said he was in the parking lot waiting for us. It was about a 20 minute drive to the marina where we met our captain Hunter. The boat was in excellent condition and managed the sea’s well. It was overcast/rainy (typical for Ketchikan) but also a little breezy. Hunter and Mark had told us that they were concerned with the weather report and we would have to “play it by ear” if it got to rough. Thankfully, it did not get to rough and we were able to spend a lot of time out on the water. It took a little while for the Halibut to turn on as the tide was not moving in the right direction, but when it did, we quickly caught our limit! One Halibut was 35 inches, which is big considering we couldn’t keep it if it was over 40 inches, so we were thrilled!After we caught our limit, Hunter gave us the option to do some Salmon fishing or do some bottom fishing for cod/sea bass. Since we wanted table fare, we opted for the bottom fishing- it was not Salmon season yet. Hunter ran for about 20 minutes to get us to a more protected area (the wind was starting to pick up a bit and we needed calm waters to jig). No sooner then we got to this new area, he saw fish on the meter, told us what to do, and boom we started catching sea bass. Unfortunately we did not catch any cod, but we did limit out on sea bass. During this time there was a bald eagle flying around and doing his own fishing which allowed me to capture some amazing photos. We also saw Orca’s and sea lions. Overall this trip was amazing. We ended up with 3 Halibut, 1 pacific cod, and 15 sea bass. When we got back to the marina, the dock guys met us, took the fish, cleaned them up for pictures, and then filleted and packaged the fish for shipping. Now that we are back home (in Maryland) we should be getting the fish this week. We are so excited!I highly recommend this company and this tour. It was excellent and we had a great time. While we had a great day, remember, its called fishing, not catching…. Although I am confident Hunter will do anything in his power to put you on the fish 🙂

Salmon and Halibut fishing I took my 2 teenager kids. As promised it was a private tour. Captain was really nice and accommodated our request to try both Salmon and Halibut fishing. We caught both salmon and Halibut.

All around best experience ever everything about this trip was amazing! From JoAnn helping with the arrangements and shuttle, to Captain Murray putting us on all the fish! The weather was sunny all day, and if the fish weren't biting immediately, he took us to a spot where they did. We had 6 people and our friends were on another boat with 5 ppl. We beat them, with a whopping 28 salmon!! The processing was easy and 120 pounds of salmon showed up on my doorstep the day after we returned to Austin. We will all be back (a couple of us wanted to stay). Thanks again!

Alaska at it's best The hospitality that was shown to our group the two days we were fishing was amazing. The whole Oasis staff was extremely catering and helpful to our group. From the time we arrived until we had to leave, great lengths were taken to ensure our time was nothing short of the best. Shout out to Capt Chris and Capt Murray. Halibut Galore We had an awesome fishing trip, catching our maximum number of Halibut allowed. Our captain, Murray was excellent and definitely made our excursion fun. I would highly recommend this fishing trip to you.

Salmon charter Murray our guide met us right as we arrived at Clover Pass Resort and we were on the water in a short time. We were graced by an unusually gorgeous late September day- bright warm sun and little wind. We were told fishing hadn’t been great for a good part of the season due to lack of rain. We had our 1st bite about 45 minutes into the trip, a beautiful Coho about 12 lbs. We ended up boating about 8 total, 3 nice ones, the biggest about 14 lbs, with a few other misses on our 4 hour trip. All in all a great experience with Murray and we would do it again for sure!
