The Amazing Alaskan Fishing Trip. We had such an amazing experience on our charter with Danny. The women in our party were very concerned about getting sea sick and ruining the experience for the rest of us but Danny assured us that they would be just fine. He WORKED so hard to make the experience wonderful for us. Things started off a little slow and you could tell that he was concerned that things weren't happening, but he kept working the rods and rebaiting the hooks. And then they started to hit. We had 4 in our party and from the first strike until we landed the 4th Halibut was 52 minutes. In that time we also caught 2 cod and lost a couple. It was crazy. There were times we had 3 rods working at the same time. It was not hard to understand how we had some lines get tangled but he took care of that within just minutes and landed the fish and had the lines back in the water again. Once we limited out on Halibut, he moved us to shallower water to started working for salmon. We caught and kept 2 salmon, but we also threw back several that were too small to keep. The experience at the dock was also fantastic. We are not a crew that spends much time on fishing boats but they were so courteous and polite helping us on and off of the boat. They handled all of the fish for us when we got back. They gave us great opportunities to take pictures and then processed all of the fish and sent it home for us to arrive after we got back. They had a great shuttle service that picked us up and returned us to our ship. They even stopped at the grocery/liquor store for us to pick up some beverages and ice on our way to the fishing boat. If you were to imagine the perfect Alaskan Fishing trip, this is what you would have imagined. It was absolutely wonderful. I remember telling one of our friends who really didn't want to go "Careful, it looks like you are having fun" as she was reeling in a Halibut. What an amazing trip with an amazing group of people.

Great fishing trip! Wonderful experience. We booked late and they didn't have any boats available but they called around to friends and were able to find 2 fill in boats with captains for the day. We caught a lot of fish and had a great time! Thank you

We did a private tour and they told us they will make it work. The pick up at our boat was easy. Our shuttle driver Tammy was so sweet and told us all about Ketchikan. Our captain was Danny. We had the best time either way him. We give him 5 stars. (Told you Danny). He brought us to a great spot. We got lucky and hit a halibut with first drop. Met our quota and then trolled for Salmon. He made it very easy and helped us have a great day. We got lucky and had only one of the few sunny days. Easy to have fish sent home. Fulfilled my wifes bucket list to fish in Alaska. You cant go wrong with Oasis.

Highly recommended 4 of us wanted to go halibut fishing in Alaska. None of us really intense anglers but have fished before. 3 younger folks with me..me not so young with limited mobility. I used travel chat gpt and it gave me this company as a recommendation. All the content on the internet and reviews gave me comfort that we were going to have something but a person never really knows. Our shuttle guy Mel contacted me in advance of our arrival. Gave me perfect directions and was timely. More on Mel later. We met Danny, our boat captain, at the dock who whisked us away to our fishing location. He made sure we caught fish! The time flew by. He worked so hard. When we returned we told Mel about wanting to see more of Ketchikan but couldn’t figure out how to make it happen. He made it happen! He gave us so many details about the town along with getting us to specific places in town where I found my favorite artists designs. I couldn’t thank him enough! We found the company and employees to be really hardworking folks knowing what they are doing and providing a high quality service. Our memories and experiences were awesome. Thank you so much!

Halibut heaven What a great experience! Skylar put us on Halibut right away! Left time for Kings! Unfortunately they were slow today but Skylar did everything he could to put us on fish. Definitely had a great time and would return!

Halibut fishing June 2015 My family had an awesome experience with Oasis. Joana kept us up to date on the details. Danny did a great job as captain and fishing guide! One of the highlights of our trip.

Memorable and great fun From start to finish, this was a wonderful, fun and memorable experience.
We were collected from where the cruise ship docked, and driven the roughly half hour to the fishing pier. Here we met our captain for the trip (Danny)
He showed us all the equipment, baited and set the rods and helped us every step of the way. We had a great time fighting with the Halibut, and some sharks!
We even saw a pod of Orcas in the nearby waters.
4 hours on the water, left us with 4 Halibut (our limit of one each) we threw back a 5th and 5 sharks, which we also released.
Beautiful weather was on our side, and the majestic scenery was amazing.
I thoroughly recommend this tour, it was awesome, and thank you to everyone who made it so special.
We left our catch to be filleted, frozen and shipped via FedEx, which cost around $220. When you consider that this yielded about 12.5 lbs. of Halibut fillet, that's a great deal in any language, shipped to my door on ice in Styrofoam in Minnesota. when we returned home several days later. We ended the trip by being driven back to town to do some shopping.

Great again! Hunter again was able to put us on fish for three consecutive days. Brought home over 175lbs of silvers, halibut and cod. We also donated 20lbs to the local women’s shelter.

Ketchikan Salmon Fishing The bus ride to and from the dock was a lot of fun. Seth, the driver, was very entertaining and gave us great information about Ketchikan. He was punctual and efficient. Captain Joshua was a competent charter guide and knowledgable about the Alaskan fishing business. As a group, we hooked 5 and landed 2 (one was too small so we threw it back). One negative of this trip was that I purchased two King Salmon licenses only to find out that catching them were no longer allowed - I wasted $30.00. Also, Joshua had promised to add some salmon to the one fish that we had shipped to us, but he must have forgot to do so. Other than that, we had a good time.

Lots of fish!!! This trip was fantastic!! We booked in advance with clear communication with the owners. We knew what to bring and what to expect. They picked us up on time with the prearranged shuttle and were very conscious about getting us back to the cruise ship in time. We didn't catch the sought after halibut by no fault of theirs but caught lots of fish regardless. That didn't matter, the captain was great, we had a great time! We all highly recommend Oasis Alaska Charters!

Halibut Fishing Charter Oasis Charter was amazing. First, communication was fantastic!!! The shuttle was there waiting for us as we debarked the ship. Everyone worked with us to make this Charter fantastic given our tight time-line. Hunter was a great guide. He took us to spots that had the most success rates. Within 20 minutes we had our limits of halibut. We then trolled for salmon. Before Hunter could finish explaining what to expect we had a coho on the line. Within an hour, we caught 6 coho salmon but, two got away (not Hunters fault, lol). Oasis took care of the fish processing and shipping to our home. They got us back in time to quickly visit a shop to get a t-shirt! I highly recommend Oasis Charter especially if you are taking an Alaska cruise. So, we did a shore salmon fishing excursion the day before and caught absolutely nothing. In addition, it was expensive. Don't waste your time or money on this, book with Oasis Charter instead. Thank you Oasis Charter and thank you to Hunter and the entire team for a great trip!

Great day of fishing. Great fishing charter. We were picked up from our cruise on time and learned about the local town during our drive. We got our limit of halibut. We had them shipped to our house and the beautiful filets arrived as promised.

Highly recommend Great trip. We caught our limit in halibut and then fished for salmon until our time was up. Everyone went out of their way to make our trip awesome.

Fishing and so much more. This exceeded our expectations for a 4 hour charter. We were constantly catching fish the entire trip. Great views and lots of other wildlife encounters; Eagles, Whales, and sealions.

Awesome!!! Our captain Josh was extremely fun and a great captain. Would definitely ask for him if I book a charter again! We had a giant fish not even sure what it was to really bring down the pole and and snapped off the hook...we would have loved to got to see the fish but it was so exciting just to see. I so enjoyed my time on the water I would love to do it again!

Good time fishing Alaska Great time fishing and great weather on our day. They have good boats and captains. The fishing is not very far away. I would recommend to anyone looking for a short fishing excursion.

I did a lot of research on the various charter boats and chose this one and it was an incredible experience. Communication was great! We had them pick us up and it was stress free! We caught 13 fish during the 4 hour tour! We shipped them back home super easy process they handle right at the dock made it back to the ship with plenty of time to spare! We were also pretty amateur fishermen and Josh was amazing! Highly recommend we booked separately from the cruise line and no issues!

Excellent Fishing Charter! Highly recommend!! From start to finish dealing with Mark and Joanne was an absolute pleasure. They made organizing my group so easy. The charter was great. My group thoroughly enjoyed themselves and Hunter and Josh were outstanding captains. We booked this direct through Oasis vs the Cruise line and we are very pleased we did so! Highly recommend!! Bonus.. we caught a ton of fish and had the best time!

1/2 day salmon fishing We had a great time fishing with Oasis , fishing was a little slow that day but still managed some nice Salmon , Mel the shuttle driver was a very nice guy and showed up right on time , Mark and Joann were easy to work with for a couple minor changes to our trip , we opted for a private charter rather than sharing time with other cruise guests and was well worth it ! Awesome trip, well worth it! Our family booked a 4 hour charter while in port. Josh was our captain for the day and he was awesome! He had a great eye for seeing when we hooked a fish and knew when it was a good time to try a new spot. We caught 6-7 fish with 2 being large enough to keep (one was just barely a quarter inch under!). We had a great time and made it back to port with plenty of time to spare, we weren't worried about it at all. We loved it just being the 4 of us in our group with Josh and not having to share the boat with a giant/larger group. I only wish we had more time in port to keep fishing!

Very comfortable fishing with Oasis This is my third year( 6 outings) fishing with Oasis. Their guides always try hard to put us in the fish. They understand the significance of someone spending their hard earned money to fish Alaska waters. I have never left disappointed with Oasis.

Good times Josh Anderson was our captain and he did a great job. Showed a lot of patience and did his best to help us catch fish. Did the 4 hour tour and probably should have booked the 6. Overall, great experience.

Absolutely the best fishing experience we've ever had. This Trip was a great experience for my son and I, the most important thing for use was the fact that this was a private charter, it was just the two of us. You'd be hard pressed to find another company doing that. We each caught a keeper King Salmon (29" and 30") . We caught and released several other Kings as well. Our Captain Josh got us on the fish right away, boating out first King less than 10 minutes after dropping the down riggers. Everybody that asks my son what was the best part of our Alaskan cruise gets the answer "fishing" so I think this trip is a trip he'll remember for the rest of his life which was exactly what I was hoping it would be....Thanks to all at Oasis Alaskan Charters for creating that memory for us.

Halibut Heaven!!! Fished two half day trips with Josh and caught a limit of halibut both days. What a blast. even did a little salmon trolling. Great guide and a nice person. Don't forget to tip 10-20%. Gas is expensive and the cost of living in AK is high.

Highly Recommend! This fishing trip was amazing! The boat ride out to the fishing spot was very beautiful and once we were settled, we saw some whales and even had a bald eagle pay us a visit! Hunter was an amazing captain, we caught 3 halibut and even when the biting was slow, Hunter kept us in high spirits - he is super friendly and knowledgeable!

Incredible time on the water 5 out of 5. Six stars if I could. Our guide Hunter was very patient, knowledgeable, kind and told great stories, we also maxed out on our halibut and we were able to get some additional fish even after that! We did have it processed and sent home, it’s so tasty! Highly recommend the company, ask for Hunter.

Planning this trip was just perfect because of the wonderful communication and willingness of Mark. We couldn't thank you enough for getting us the best fishing charter we could possibly have. Oasis Alaska Charters worked extra hard to get us a fishing charter since many of the charters were already booked. Oasis Alaska Charters found us the best. Connor was great! We caught fish! Lots of it! Connor knew exactly where to go and how to navigate to different fishing spots. We had a blast! We even ended early because we caught the limit we wanted. Connor helped us get the fish ready to cut up and shipped back to our home. Last night we had our first piece of salmon and it was absolutely amazing. Thanks for all the memories. We can't stop smiling from this amazing experience. Truly, this was our favorite part of Alaska. Connor, we by far were the best charter we could have asked for. Thank you!!!

Ketchikan Salmon FIshing was Outstanding! Fishing in Ketchikan was by far our favorite Alaskan experience. Our guide Murray was fantastic. He was personable and knowledgeable. He made our experience authentic and fun. Hand down 5 star service from start to finish.
