Another successful charter with Oasis This is a great little charter company. They have a good website full of information and make booking and paying for everything easy. This is my second charter with Oasis and also the second time out with Captain Murray. Capt. Murray is a great guy, full of hustle and always on the fish. He has a great network of fellow Captains to draw from but I think they mostly draw from him. The re-power on their boat has made it a perfect charter boat for fishing and when the Chaos hits with 3 and 4 on at a time their is ample room for you and the Captain to get the job done. Awesome, Excellent, Fantastic and Action Packed! This was my first time in Alaska and my first time Salmon and Halibut fishing from a boat. I learned a lot very quickly with the help and patience of Captain Murray. I don't have anything else to go off of, but we were the only ones rolling in with full limits. Captain Murray and the well equipped boat, the "Reel Therapy", was the perfect combo. Captain Murray kept in contact with other guides and was always actively looking for the "hot spot". Words can't explain the excitement when the four of us in the group all had salmon on at the same time on two different occasions and we landed them all. Captain Murray was working hard netting all the salmon and sometimes netting two at the same time, incredible! You will not be disappointed with Oasis, they are proactive, work hard and have excellent gear. Thanks for the great experience and we will be back.

Fishing trip. We recently took an Alaskan cruise. On our Ketchikan stop we fished with Oasis. They were booked outside what the cruise offered. Took a short cab ride. They were waiting ready for us. Great trip..nice boat..great captain. It was small (only the 4 of us). The scenery was some of the best of the trip. We caught a lot if fish. When we returned to dock, they arranged processing and shipment home. Taxi waiting, then back to ship. Going back to stay and fish for a week.

Very comfortable fishing with Oasis This is my third year( 6 outings) fishing with Oasis. Their guides always try hard to put us in the fish. They understand the significance of someone spending their hard earned money to fish Alaska waters. I have never left disappointed with Oasis.

Amazing day on the water! I cant say enough good things about this trip! The 4 of us had a boat to ourselves and Captain hunter was Amazing. We booked a 4 hour charter and were actually given a 5th hour for free so that they could coordinate our return to the port with another party, Mark, the owner, picked us up at our ship and we chatted pleasantly on the way to the boat. From there Captain Hunter took over. To say he knows his stuff is an understatement! We put our lines in and had a fish on with 5 minutes. We caught silvers, pinks and Kings (but had to throw the kings back since they were out of season and were tiny). We ended our 5 hours with 3 silvers and 14 pinks in the cooler! We had so many more that we got to reel in, but they broke off the lines just before we could scoop them up. This trip was awesome and time flew by way too fast. I would highly recommend Oasis Alaska to anyone wanting to take home some Wild Alaska Salmon!

Oasis Alaska Charters This was by far the best fishing charter I have ever been on and by far the best Captain to guide a charter. From the minute we stepped foot on the grounds at the Marina we were greeted with kind folks who provided us information on the area, talked with us about our charter, introduced us to the Captain, and ensured we were all ready to go. The folks at the Marina were superb, even offering sunscreen and refreshments. While on board the captain was outstanding, put on on fish within 10 minutes of leaving port. Handled difficult seas with patience and ease, and provided us with an amazing fishing trip that will be remembered for a very long time as the best ever. The captain was courteous, helpful, and truly happy for us when we each caught a fish. First Halibut! Went out fishing with Murray-he was fantastic-showed us and told us about fishing there and put us on the fish-there were boats around us but we caught the fish!

Incredible time on the water 5 out of 5. Six stars if I could. Our guide Hunter was very patient, knowledgeable, kind and told great stories, we also maxed out on our halibut and we were able to get some additional fish even after that! We did have it processed and sent home, it’s so tasty! Highly recommend the company, ask for Hunter.

Grand Slam Oasis Alaska Charters!!! Captain Desmond provided the two of us with the experience of a lifetime. I highly recommend being on a smaller boat which gives you a 360* view of the stunning islands of Alaska. I saw the best whale bubble feeding view which lasted hours. So sooo cool! They came 20’ from the boat. I feel very few people get that experience and is something I will never forget.
Captain Desmond is very knowledgeable of where to catch the fish and we went to private areas not widely known by the other charter boats. He had the boat ready to go so we stepped in and we were off. The boat is very clean and easy to move around. The inside has a bathroom and an area to sit down if you need a break from the countless fish you’re gonna catch!

Better than cruise ship excursion We heard that through the cruise ship excursions, you could have 6 guests and only 4 lines, so decided to go private for our salmon fishing charter. This did mean we had to spend ~$40 each way for the taxi, but got to see some of the town between and had opportunity to stop for beer. We were there this first week of June and were unfortunate with significant rain for most of our time on the water; however, I am proud to say we caught 1 rockfish and 1 king salmon. One interesting thing to note is when you book, it is sounds like good odds of getting some fish, and then on board it becomes much less unlikely… so temper your expectations, and maybe negotiate for a low season rental rate. Our guide Thomas was helpful, kind and knowledgeable, and the dock crew helped slice and send our fish home to enjoy. We would recommend this group and would use them again.

Amazing time! Lots of fun Was overall a great experience! We caught our limit and still had time so our guide Hunter took us trolling. This was my first time deep sea fishing and it was fun! They are all extremely nice and when we come back, we will be using them again! The only thing we didn’t know is that salmon fishing was not open yet so we were unable to catch any. Over all Mark and his wife are very friendly and knowledgeable and I recommend this charter company to everyone!

Salmon charter Murray our guide met us right as we arrived at Clover Pass Resort and we were on the water in a short time. We were graced by an unusually gorgeous late September day- bright warm sun and little wind. We were told fishing hadn’t been great for a good part of the season due to lack of rain. We had our 1st bite about 45 minutes into the trip, a beautiful Coho about 12 lbs. We ended up boating about 8 total, 3 nice ones, the biggest about 14 lbs, with a few other misses on our 4 hour trip. All in all a great experience with Murray and we would do it again for sure!

A great decision! This was our first cruise and our first visit to Alaska, but not our first fishing charter so it didn’t take much convincing to book through a local charter versus through the cruise ship. Although we only caught a few fish, it was a great experience. Our captain, Thomas, was very nice and knowledgeable. He told us all about the history, geography, and wildlife of the area as well as his experiences. I am glad we booked with Oasis! I would definitely use them again.

No salmon, but rock fish & a great time Thomas did a continuous and dedicated job of trying to find us a spot to catch salmon. Although, none were caught, it was still a wonderful time and we enjoyed his expertise and the interesting information he provided.

Customer event We have for the past few years worked with Oasis for our Alaska customer fishing trip. Mark, Joanne and their boat captains have been wonderful for us and have accommodated all of our requests. The fishing was wonderful again and our freezers are all full of Salmon, Halibut and Yellow Eye. We'll definitely be back!

Amazing!! Our guide and master fisherman worked tirelessly to get us a Halibut. Amazing experience. The owner was super nice to arrange a taxi on the way back to our cruise. She waited with us until the taxi driver reached as we were getting late. She was ready to drop us to the cruise in her own car in case taxi doesn’t pick us on time. Super nice.

Alaska at it's best The hospitality that was shown to our group the two days we were fishing was amazing. The whole Oasis staff was extremely catering and helpful to our group. From the time we arrived until we had to leave, great lengths were taken to ensure our time was nothing short of the best. Shout out to Capt Chris and Capt Murray. 6 hour Halibut and Salmon Mark was fast to respond when I left a message to book the trip and we took advantage of their shuttle van. Hunter was our Captain and did a great job finding fish on our 6 hour Halibut and Salmon trip. With a little time left to spare, Hunter let us jig for Sea Bass and he kept the boat over the fish. We had a great time fishing for Pinks, Halibut, Rock Fish, Coho and Kings. We fished for 4 days and it was a new adventure each day. Nice idea but disappointed We booked a fishing charter for a recent trip to Ketchikan. This was the big 'splurge' excursion on our seven day cruise, something my husband really wanted to do, and I booked the boat for just the 2 of us (you can have as many as 6), because we really wanted it to be special. First, I will say that Mark, the owner of the company, was very nice and easy to deal with through our email correspondence leading up to the trip. He even extended us a 10% discount he advertised for May excursions after I had already booked. The boat was kept in very nice order. We were able to obtain our fishing licenses right there and it only took a couple of minutes. But sadly we discovered the reason for the discount. There was only one other boat out on the bay. Apparently, we were the first fishing tour of the season, as season would actually not start for a another two weeks. The first time this was ever mentioned to us was by our cab driver on the way out to the boat. If the cab driver knew, you can be certain the fishing guide did as well.I was a little surprised that after boarding the boat, we travelled only a very short distance from the dock. I guess I was hoping for a little boat ride to the fishing spot, but it was right there. Ok. This was a 4 hour tour and we basically trolled back and forth within a short distance. As it turns out, the cab driver was absolutely right. We did not get a single bite from a salmon. (We caught one very small ling cod, which we fed to an eagle. (Okay, that was cool). But from everything we had read, the salmon were supposed to practically jump into the boat. I believe if we went in July, we would have caught plenty of fish and had a very happy and different experience. Like I said, nice guy, nice boat, beautiful scenery, but no fish. None. Between the cost of the charter, the tip, the license, and the $80 round trip cab ride from ship, the 4 hours ended up costing about $600 for the two of us. And I had to stop at the supermarket when I got home to buy some salmon. Now I realize that there is no guarantee that you will catch anything. I was told several times that that's why they call it 'fishing' and not 'catching'. But that is also why they call themselves 'guides", not 'tenderfoots'. I think as an experienced captain, Mark should have known the fish weren't running at all yet. Everyone in town knew. Knowing there would be no fish, we should have had an opportunity to cancel and take advantage of another excursion. Or, I think he could/should have realized at some point that there was nothing running (I am very experienced with ocean fishing, and I did!) and offered to cut the trip short with an appropriate discount. He also could have offered a variation like a boat tour, some whale watching, something. He talked a lot about the summer and how many boats would be out and how you couldn't pull the salmon in fast enough. Didn't make me feel any better. When we were done, he apologized to my husband for the disappointment and said he did warn me in an email that it might be too early in the season. I do not remember getting any such email. I wouldn't have taken the chance because it was so expensive. So, I am giving it 3 stars because I think if you go in the summer you will have a great time and catch lots of fish. Mark and his boat, very nice. But don't go at the beginning of May and I am dinging off 2 stars because I think Mark knew and should have been more up front about our expectations

Great all around trip My son and I went on a four halibut trip. We were fishing within fifteen minutes of leaving the dock. The boat had everything we needed and the captain and crew were extremely friendly and helpful. It was an awesome experience! The Clover Pass crew made it easy to process our fish and ship them home. I would definitely recommend Oasis Alaska Charters to anyone!

Fantastic Fishing Bad Cab Experience We had a great time with Mike fishing. We caught 5 too short Kings and 5 pink salmon. Loved every second of it and Mike knew just where to go for the action. He was informative and fun. My only issue with our day was not with Oasis but with the Sourdough taxi cab service that brought us there. We were totally scammed in price on the way back to the dock. We were asked to pay double and when we tried to discuss it the driver became irate. We payed the double fee as our son was with us and we didn't want there to be any safety issue. I don't think Oasis is aware of this cab company doing this but I wanted to post as others can be aware and book a different cab service. Other than that unfortunate issue we had a fantastic day fishing.

Highlight of our Alaska trip! Like many of tourists in Ketchikan, we came in by cruise ship. We had a morning in town and wanted to do some salmon fishing. We found Oasis through Tripadvisor and we were extremely happy with our fishing experience! First off, the pricing is significantly cheaper than the cruise prices. There were four of us and we had our own private boat headed by Captain Murray. Because we had our private boat, each of us were had ample opportunity to reel in our own fish. The Oasis boat, Reel Therapy, is clean and comfortable. As a female, I was happy to see a fully private bathroom instead of a bucket and curtain like on other fishing charters. Snacks and drinks were also provided. Luckily that morning the weather was glorious and the waters were very calm. The 30 pound king salmon was easily the largest fish my husband ever caught. We also caught a 20 pound chum salmon and several rockfish. When we came back to the marina, we were met by the shipping staff and they set up overnight delivery for our fish to be shipped to California. We are enjoying our fresh Alaskan salmon for dinner tonight. I would highly recommend Oasis Fishing charter! When we come back to Alaska, we hope to fish with them again:)

Marvelous Halibut Charter Wonderful day Halibut fishing with Oasis at Ketchikan. The weather was very pleasant as all 6 of us caught a Halibut ranging from 25lbs to 15lbs. Had them processed and shipped back home tasty! Our Captain was very attentive and knew how to dialogue with our group fun times. Make sure to say hi to Steve, the bald eagle. Saw a dozen whales and lots of eagles. They picked us up at the port and returned us to Creek Street. Highly recommend and much less expensive than going through Princess.

True Alaskan Experience! We booked the 4 hour salmon fishing charter, and we are so glad we did! This trip was everything we had hoped for and more! From the moment we stepped off the cruise ship and Oasis Alaska Charters picked us up, to the moment they dropped us back off, everything was seamless. We caught lots of fish, including king salmon, saw 2 pods of Orcas, and even had a bald Eagle swoop in to try to steal our catch! Murry, our captain, was amazing, knowledgeable, and so great with the kids. When we returned to the dock, they quickly had it arranged to have our fish processed and shipped home to us. Definitely the fishing trip of a lifetime and one we will not soon forget! We highly recommend Oasis Alaska Charters!!!

Excellent Charter! We chartered the Oasis for my family to take a short 4 hour fishing trip when we visited Ketchikan Alaska! We could not have been more pleased with our charter! Mike was our Captain - he was awesome! We had an excellent time and would definitely recommend Oasis to anyone visiting the area. We only wished we had more time to fish!

Fabulous Fishing Trip We went out on Reel Therapy for 2 full days of fishing with Captain Murray just a week ago. We had an absolutely amazing time! Cpt. Murray was very knowledgeable, personable and a good instructor. We couldn't have had more fun and we caught over 200lbs of fish between the 4 of us. Thanks for a fantastic time!

Oasis was an awesome adventure! Murray, Axle, Chris, and Thomas are All awesome fishing guides! They kept us on the fish all day long and kept our hooks in the water. I never expected to catch the amount of fish we did. We caught everything! King salmon, Coho Salmon, Pink Salmon, Halibut, Sea Bass and more. I would definitely go back today. The guides are fun and professional, not to mention the owners are a class act! Great atmosphere, great people, I feel like I left some friends behind when I came home....... I would give more stars if I could.

Awesome! Fabulous trip! The owners are overly accommodating-we did not have our license as we were supposed to and they printed them for us at their home. Murray was a fabulous captain-we quickly caught our limit of halibut and he took us to fish for other types of fish! When we visit Alaska again, we will definitely use Oasis!

Incredible salmon fishing experience The wife and I were on a cruise and wanted to go salmon fishing! This did not disappoint! I did a lot of research on the various charter boats and chose this one and it was an incredible experience. Communication was great! We had them pick us up and it was stress free! We caught 13 fish during the 4 hour tour! We shipped them back home super easy process they handle right at the dock made it back to the ship with plenty of time to spare! We were also pretty amateur fishermen and Josh was amazing! Highly recommend we booked separately from the cruise line and no issues!

Fishing experience We went fishing with Oasis Charters on our day in Ketchikan during a cruise. I would highly recommend them! We caught lots of fish and the captain was great to fish with. 5 stars!

Good Fishing, but.... Although Thomas eventually was able to put us on the fish, he seemed more interested in catching the fish himself rather then offering suggestions to help us catch our own fish. While the grandsons' seemed okay with reeling in fish Thomas caught, my son and I would much rather bait the hook, cast the line, hook the fish and reel it in. It would also have been nice to have a cooler full of ice and a fresh hold to keep the fish in. Had we known the ice maker on the dock was not operating as it should, we would have purchased ice and brought it to the boat. The hold the fish were thrown into after sitting in the iceless cooler for a few hours smelled horrendous. This could have been left for Thomas from the day before, but the second day we fished was just the same-no excuses!!

Amazing I went on the ship, "not being a fisher". I got off the ship so excited and happy!! Thank you soo much for an amazing fishing experience! Can't wait to visit again!!

Fishing fun !! This trip had been planned earlier in the year. We had been looking forward to it and were not disappointed. We booked a package deal that included lodging at Clover Pass. We fished three days with Captain Murray and had a great time. We caught more fish than most every day. Halibut, Rockfish, Lingcod and Salmon. Brought home enough to share....

Had A Great Time! My wife, daughter and myself booked a trip this last August with Oasis Alaska and had Murray as our Captain... we had a great trip... Being from the Puget Sound area I know the effects El Nino has had on the salmon... amongst other things. With that said, we had a great time visiting with Murray (very cool knowledgeable guy with some awesome experience on the water), enjoying the scenery, and yes catching some salmon! Heck, even if we had gotten skunked it would have been a great day... that's why they call it "fishing"... not "catching". You guys are awesome, we will be back! Highly reccommended!!!

Reliable, honest , professional, hard working I had a pleasure dealing with Mark and Joann planning our day in Ketchikan during our cruise. To start with, they informed me that we couldn’t keep any of the King salmon that we catch because of state regulations. So, they agreed to take us bottom fishing, which is normally more expensive. Then, they also honored the coupon that came out after i made my reservation. I communicated with them via email and phone, and the response was always prompt. When we arrived, everything was exactly how it was described on their website. We were met by Captain Thomas, who couldn’t be more accommodating and patient with our sons. We caught and released one King salmon and then caught a bunch of Rock Fish. Again, there was not a hint of irritation when my son asked him the same question for the 100th time. Thomas is very patient and knowledgeable on many types of fish. He tried to find the best location for fishing. On the way back, we saw some bold eagles but not any other wild life. But, that’s just luck. I would not hesitate using this company again, and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

You've Got Plenty of Time to Book Oasis During a Shore Excursion! We booked with Oasis instead of doing the fishing shore excursion through the cruise line (Norwegian). We thought it would be a bit more hassle because of having to call for a taxi, but really, it all went so smoothly and gave even more business to locals. In fact, talking to the taxi driver likely gave us more of a glimpse into Alaskan life than we ever would have doing the ship's shore excursion. We also had plenty of time to get to Oasis and back.Fun fishing! We were upriver from the cruise line charters, and we had the river to ourselves - and the boat, as no one joined our family of four. Bald eagles watched us from the treetops and tried to steal our fish when they saw them on line! We were a bit early for the salmon run so we didn't catch any kings, but we caught 2 chums and 3 rock fish. They cleaned them right on the dock and we had them shipped to my husband's dad for Father's Day (health wouldn't permit him to come on the cruise). Everything arrived in good order.The people at Oasis were great. The office and docks were staffed by clean-cut, polite Latter-day Saint kids up from Utah doing "mission service." The captain was young and friendly, living, as he said, "a working vacation."We originally booked through Oasis to save a few bucks. In the end, we would have paid a few bucks extra for the adventure and privacy that booking through Oasis provided. Go for it!!

Oasis Alaska Charters I was recently on an Alaskan Cruise and I had set-up in advance a charter for myself and 5 family memebers to go Salmon fiishing in Ketchikan. When I get to port on Friday August 18th the boat Captian leaves a message he is sick and cancels my trip!! I call around and Gary from Oasis Alaska Charters on short notice landed my a charter from his company. The captian, Logan was frioendly, knowledgable and very professional and patient on the trip. We caught 14 fish in 3 hours!! I highly recommend working with Oasis of you are oplanning to fish for Salmon or Halibut in Ketchikan.

6 hour Halibut and Salmon Mark was fast to respond when I left a message to book the trip and we took advantage of their shuttle van. Hunter was our Captain and did a great job finding fish on our 6 hour Halibut and Salmon trip. With a little time left to spare, Hunter let us jig for Sea Bass and he kept the boat over the fish. It was a great trip and we would definitely book with Oasis again!

Fun catching Salmon My two sons and I had a great time bobbing on the boat and catching salmon! We only fished 3 hours but had 8 hits and reeled in two! They are now in my freezer ready to eat!

Personable, experienced captain! Had a great time with a guide who worked hard to get us our fish! We learned a lot of good tricks and places to go on our own next time!

Fishing in AK The boat was a disappointment for sure. We are in the boat for four hours watching our captain setup the fishing rods and then us waiting for a bite with no place to sit down. There were four of us fishing for $810.00. The seas were very rough so we were continually knocked around. We are all in our late sixties and seventies. My husband was thrown and was bruised the next day. We did catch three salmon and one halibut (that was too long so was released). More

Halibut and Salmon half day trip. our trip was fantastic. From pick up off ship our driver told us all about the town. we saw a bunch of bald eagles along the way. Our captain Hunter put us right on the fish. My wife and I had 6 halibut in less than an hour but since we could only keep one each he took us to another spot. There we jigged and caught Ling cod.After that we trolled and caught king salmon ang one Cohoes. 4hours of action and had fish shipped to arrive home when we get there. Great fishing expereience! We had the BEST fishing charter experience we have ever had on a charter! Captain Hunter scored! we caught lots of salmon, did a little bit of halibut fishing but didn't catch any of those, but had a great time, and will highly recommend Oasis Charters to our friends. The Best! We had a fabulous experience in Ketchikan! Lots of great memories were made with Oasis Alaska Charters. Planning this trip was just perfect because of the wonderful communication and willingness of Mark. We couldn't thank you enough for getting us the best fishing charter we could possibly have. Oasis Alaska Charters worked extra hard to get us a fishing charter since many of the charters were already booked. Oasis Alaska Charters found us the best. Connor was great! We caught fish! Lots of it! Connor knew exactly where to go and how to navigate to different fishing spots. We had a blast! We even ended early because we caught the limit we wanted. Connor helped us get the fish ready to cut up and shipped back to our home. Last night we had our first piece of salmon and it was absolutely amazing. Thanks for all the memories. We can't stop smiling from this amazing experience. Truly, this was our favorite part of Alaska. Connor, we by far were the best charter we could have asked for. Thank you!!!

Will fish with Alaskan Oasis Charters again We flew from Tampa, Fl for 3 days of fishing. We made all our own arrangements, but Mark was very helpful with information about the Ketchikan area. We fished with Capt. Drew who is very knowledgable and helpful, a solid guide. We fished Tue 6hrs for Salmon and Halibut. Limited out on both. Fished Wed for 4hrs and limited on Salmon. Thur was a tough 4hrs targeting Halibut in the same location where we caught them on Tue. Cape Drew worked hard for us and we ended the day jigging a couple more Salmon.

Awesome Experience for first timers! Capt. Murray was great. He was fun and patient helped our friends 7 year old catch his 1st, 2nd & 3rd Salmon. Good gear and roomy boat.

Halibut Fishing Captain Murray was the best! Not only did he hook us up on halibut, our limit plus, we caught a small cod and tried for salmon. We saw a pod of whales and they swam right by us. Captain Murray was fun, knowledgeable, accommodating, and hard working. He ensured we had plenty of time to get back to our cruise ship, yet gave us our full fishing time paid for. I would not hesitate to sail with Captain Murray at Oasis Alaska Charters again.

Great fishing trip! We had a wonderful time fishing with our captain Josh. We caught 11 salmon and enjoyed beautiful scenery. Would recommend to anyone and would do it again.

September Silvers are Fantastic! From my reservation to packing out the fish, Oasis Charters had excellent organisation, responsiveness and efficiency. We chartered two boats for 9 people to go after the September Silvers (Coho Salmon). The fishing was slow for about an hour, but after Capt. Murry found the fish he kept us ON the fish! Before it was all over we had each caught 2 fish in the 10-12 lbs. range. Really gotta hand it to Capt. Murry for finding the fish, helping us wrestle them into the cold box and maximizing our time on the water. Fish ON!

Awesome Alaskan Fishing Experience We were in Ketchikan with the Disney Cruise (had my 7 year old son with us) and instead of booking with them and getting random people on our boat I booked through Oasis and it was a great decision! We had the boat to ourselves and Capt. Tom was a great guide, we had salmon on the lines within the 1st ten minutes of our trip! Tom was very attentive and knowledgeable about the waters and local information! If you're in Ketchikan and want to get in some good fishing in with the family or friends I highly recommend Oasis Alaska Charters just take a look at the pics!!

Great charter Our fishing trip was awesome!! It was cold and rainy in the morning but cleared up. We caught Kings, pink, and silver salmon. 2 halibut and 2 spine back rock fish. The rat fish I caught was thrown back but neat to see. Whales and eagles were out that day and our guide spotted a whale spray way out in the water and turned us in that direction. It was really fun. Just the two of us and our captain. Didn't have to fight large crowds!!

Halibut Fishing 23 May 2019 Boat was well maintained, clean and operated flawlessly in ruff seas. Captain knows fishing period (i have been fishing 60+ years). Enjoyable 4 hours. Boated 3 Halibut - all under 7 pounds, 6 Turbot and a Rat fish - the highlight.

Not to be missed. This really was an excellent experience - in my mind one of the highlights of my entire Alaska experience. Captain Murray was top notch - would definitely recommend.

Fishing Charter We had a great time. Our captain was very good at getting us on fish. He was also a good guy, lots of fun to be around.

Great Charter For The Family Went out for a 4 hour trip one day and a full day a couple days later on a recent trip to Ketchikan. Captain Murray was great. Fishing was slow, but he still managed to get us into fish both trips. He even gave us a little whale watching tour when he spotted some as we were just starting out. Would highly recommend booking a trip with Oasis. The whole family will enjoy a day out with Captain Murray

Amazing experience There r no guarantees w fishing but Captain Murray is your best bet to find them. Book the full day because when your time is up you will wish you could keep fishing.

GREAT Experience We had an amazing time with our Captain Murray! The salmon were a little slow but we did catch a few Kings, a yellow eyed rockfish and a number of rockfish. The overall experience was awesome! We had a great time and even got to see humpback whales. We would definitely book with them again.

Not a Great Trip! We were greeted by Captain Murray who was very nice and helped us get our fishing licenses. Unfortunately Captain Matt took us fishing. He didn't greet us, didn't explain anything about fishing in Alaska, in fact barely talked to us unless we asked him a question and didn't act like he wanted to be there! Obviously he wasn't feeling well as he was coughing the entire time and unfortunately we both got sick right after our trip with him...would rather had them cancel the trip!! Also Matt told us it would be about $5 a pound to ship the salmon home which in fact ended up being $18 a pound. Maybe with a different guide it would have been a much better experience!

Great Fishing in Alaska We have fished with Oasis Charters 3 times now and we have enjoyed our time there more and more each time!! Great group of people that run the place too! Murray was our captain of choice every time...he really knows where to put you on top of the best fish!!!

Halibut Fishing so disappointing and waste of money We went in Charter boat with Oasis Charters on August 6, 2018 for a halibut fishing. We had captain Cris. We had to drive a long ways like almost an hour one way. Did not catch any fish at all. For the 4 hour we had like about 2 1/2 hrs of fishing and had 2 bites. Paid a lot of money for nothing. You can’t even touch the pole or cast because the captain has to, Very disappointing. Never go to a charter boat again. If we come back we will have to do our own fishing coz it’s not worth it. Waste of money. I hope my husband will get some refund from Oasis charter Boats.

Amazing Trip Oasis Charters literally saved our trip. Our original plans blew up due to Covid and JoAnn and our captain, Chris, stepped in and completely blew us away with an incredible trip. We originally were scheduled with Oasis for a 1 day trip, and ended up going out with Chris for all 4 days. Chris was a blast and put us on the fish each day, catching everything from Salmon and Halibut, to Sea Bass, cod and rockfish. We will be back again next year and the ONLY choice is Oasis Alaska Charters. What an amazing trip! See you next year.

Absolutely incredible What an incredible crew and ownership. I scheduled with Oasis charters after everything on our cruise was booked. I am so glad that this was the case. I wanted a charter for 2 which I could not get booking through the cruise anyway. They were the first people to answer the phone call (not a computer voice) talking with Mark and Joanne was a wonderful experience. I called back multiple times after booking our excursion with questions. They were so kind and answered every question I had without making me feel like what I may have been asking was dumb or stupid. It was our first fishing excursion so I had a lot of dumb stuff I was thinking about. When we got to port Mark was right there waiting. When we arrived at the dock for our excursion we met our captain Axl (not sure of spelling). We could not have asked for a better captain for us. He supplied us with great info and an incredible fishing trip. We almost limited out by catching 9 of a possible 12 salmon in our short 4 hr excursion. Perfect visit! Our trip was perfect!!! Just what I wanted. Our guide Murray was great, funny, knowledgeable, and he found the fish! It was our first trip to Alaska, and he had great tips about sights in the area. The gear was all there including rain gear which we didn't need. We caught 5 salmon and 1 rockfish, went home happy. Fishing in Alaska Our family had a very good experience with Oasis! Went salmon fishing a few days ago. Trip included my wife, my two children, and my mom and stepfather. Murray was the captain from Oasis and was very professional the whole time. Weather did not cooperate, nor did the salmon. However Murray made sure to at least go in a location to catch some rock fish so the kids would have a great time. Just sailing around and looking at the scenery, including many bold Eagles was great! I would definitely recommend Oasis.

112 pounds of fish!!! Sometimes you just want to get away with some friends, get out on a boat and fish until you’ve had your fill!

I planned a four day getaway with the husband and 5 friends to Ketchikan. I called months in advance as I’d heard things fill up quickly. After calling several companies, I opted for Oasis because of the stellar customer service and reasonable prices. JoAnn answered all of my questions and even made recommendations. It was a wonderful experience.

The first day was an all-day salmon and halibut trip with Captain Murray. We caught the limit!

We had such a good time, we decided to return the next day for a half-day halibut trip with Captain Thomas. Once again, we caught our limit!

In total, after all of the fish was processed and filleted, we came home with 112 pounds of halibut, pacific cod, coho (silver) salmon, yelloweye rockfish, and silvergrey rockfish.

It was a perfect trip. We couldn’t have asked for a better time! More

Amazing Experience I booked this tour directly through Oasis instead of our ship. They were easy to deal with. We met Captain Mike as we stepped off the Sourdough Taxi(wonderful driver- Kayleen). We arranged for her to pick us up at the end of the trip and she was there on time, There were four of us and thanks to Capt Mike we had a great time. He was a fellow New Yorker and we knew some people in common. 3 out of the 4 of us had never fished before and we all ended up loving it. Capt Mike had patience and passion for fishing. The weather was exceptional. We wouldn't hesitate to do this again!!
