Amazing day on the water fishing for salmon Great communication, captain and boat were ready as soon as we got there. Short ride to fish and caught 11 salmon that we had processed and flown home. Favorite day in Alaska by far.

Tough conditions..but our captain worked hard to get us into some fish We hit a day on the water where the weather changed from a several day period of calm water and low 70s ambient air temps to a high in the low 50s, with sustained 20 mile an hour winds and rain, sometimes sideways, for the entire day. All of that said - our captain got us into some salmon and halibut and initiated entertaining conversation n between the fish. Well run org.

Will fish with Alaskan Oasis Charters again We flew from Tampa, Fl for 3 days of fishing. We made all our own arrangements, but Mark was very helpful with information about the Ketchikan area. We fished with Capt. Drew who is very knowledgable and helpful, a solid guide. We fished Tue 6hrs for Salmon and Halibut. Limited out on both. Fished Wed for 4hrs and limited on Salmon. Thur was a tough 4hrs targeting Halibut in the same location where we caught them on Tue. Cape Drew worked hard for us and we ended the day jigging a couple more Salmon.

Oasis Full Day Fished one day with Hunter and another day with Murray. Both were full day charters and we did great with both captains. Weather was bad on the day with Hunter so we were unable to go for halibut but we limited on coho salmon. Weather was better with Murray and we limited on both salmon and halibut. Excellent captains.

Perfect Alaskan Adventure Captain Drew was fantastic. Lots of fun and found the fish. We had a great day fishing for salmon in Ketchikan. Shuttle service was prompt and efficient. Communication was great in the reservation process.

Awesome Alaskan Fishing Experience We were in Ketchikan with the Disney Cruise (had my 7 year old son with us) and instead of booking with them and getting random people on our boat I booked through Oasis and it was a great decision! We had the boat to ourselves and Capt. Tom was a great guide, we had salmon on the lines within the 1st ten minutes of our trip! Tom was very attentive and knowledgeable about the waters and local information! If you're in Ketchikan and want to get in some good fishing in with the family or friends I highly recommend Oasis Alaska Charters just take a look at the pics!!

Caught our limit and then some On 8/7/21 we were blessed to get, El Capitán, Hunter as our guide. THE Hunter helped us get 12 silver (Coho) salmon, 12 pink salmon, and 2 bass. We could have caught more (and if the Hunter got his way we would have), but we didn't have the freezer space. Hunter, the fish whisperer, is a cool Hawaiian boy who grew up fishing in Hawaii. I've never met anyone as passionate about fishing and determined to help you get your moneys worth! He is extremely competitive, committed, and hard working.

The whole staff is amazing! The owner picked up our fish and brought it to the airport because we were both headed to the airport. They were willing to accommodate us on short notice and they went above and beyond to help us. I can't rave enough about our experience!

Alaskan Cruise fishing Trip We were so excited to finally live my husband's dream and catch salmon in Alaska after he retired. Our Captain Christopher couldn't have been better. He worked very hard and he was a please to chat with. My husband and I did each catch a salmon each when on one when we were out from 8 a.m. to noon was catching any. So don;t walls expect to catch "the big one" They day was warm so the water was and there had been an algae problem. We went 2 weeks ago in August 2018. The view was very beautiful and I could have stayed out all day just looking at the scenery. You do nee to remember there is the tip, processing and shipping of the fish you catch if you prefer that service. The only downfall was the transportation from the ship to the harbor. We were told by the charters that ir ran around $30 each way to get 15 miles. The taxi ran up to $55 each way, a total of $110 round trip plus tip which amount to $130. I would think for cruise customers that Oasis may start offering transportation at a nominal fee to the harbor and back, maybe for $25? The Taxi fee is way above what we had budgeted. It is a costly trip but if you have your heart set on an Alaskan fishing trip, then Christopher is a great Captain to ask for at Oasis. You also have fishing licenses to purchase. Our total four hour trip cost about $870 with all the costs for 2 people. That was with about 13 lbs. of salmon for our freezer. Best of luck!

Best fishing experience ever!!! Went up to Ketchikan for a few days of fishing and I was not disappointed. The boat was clean and even though it had been a long time since I fished, the captain was patient and helped me with the process. The whole experience from booking to fishing was top notch!!! Don't hesitate to book with Oasis charters I certainly will.

Highly Recommended- great time! Fantastic! Picked up and dropped off at the port. We chartered 2 boats for 8 people and we each caught our limit during the 4 hour excursion. Guides were great! This definitely was a highlight of the trip for all of our group. Very fun!

An Awesome Trip with a Great Company If you're considering a salmon/halibut/bottom fish trip look at Oasis. JoAnn and Mark run a great operation and the price was reasonable for me and my two brothers. JoAnn responds to emails quickly. Three days of fishing got us three hundred pounds of processed fish. You have to pay for the processing at something like $2.50 a pound. Captain Maury was our guide on a 30+ foot boat. He was friendly and very knowledgeable. He does smoke, which didn't bother me since I brought cigars. He was patient and allowed us to do as much as we wanted. I have similar downriggers to those on the boat so he had no problem with us rigging our own lines. It saved time when the fishing was hot - which was often. The boat was clean and the gear worked fine. Having a head (bathroom) was nice since you're out all day. The first day was a little choppy but the boat was pretty stable and balance wasn't a problem. There is a large cabin if the weather turns bad or while you're under way. The dock crew that unloads the fish and processes it were a group of young people that were uniformly friendly and helpful. I asked them to process one fish while we were unloading to give to the taxi driver and they had it done in 10 minutes at no additional charge. they'll also take all the photos you want of your trophy fish. The taxi from the Landing hotel was a flat $50. If you use Sourdough Taxi ask for Carl. He took us to and from the dock every day. He was friendly and On Time - even for our 5:30 am pick ups. Marvelous Halibut Charter Wonderful day Halibut fishing with Oasis at Ketchikan. The weather was very pleasant as all 6 of us caught a Halibut ranging from 25lbs to 15lbs. Had them processed and shipped back home tasty! Our Captain was very attentive and knew how to dialogue with our group fun times. Make sure to say hi to Steve, the bald eagle. Saw a dozen whales and lots of eagles. They picked us up at the port and returned us to Creek Street. Highly recommend and much less expensive than going through Princess.

great experience spent 2 1/2 days fishing with Chris - the whole company is first rate - friendly, accommodating, very interested in providing a top notch experience; although we were scheduled for an 8 hour trip we actually fished for over 10 hours as there was no pressure to return at a certain time; willing to go wherever necessary to find fish - plan to go back next year and will definitely use these folks

Great experience! Every aspect of the trip was top notch. We showed up early and so did the captain and we got a 30 minute early start! Caught 7 quick pink salmon for fresh bait and the cooler box and we were off for halibut fishing. We caught so many variety of fish it was hard to keep track. We finished the 4 hour trip with a great mixed bag of fish. The captain was great, the boat was well equipped and clean. I'd recommend to anyone.

Poor to average Trip was hurried and very overpriced for what you got. Boast was in constant motion, no casting at all by us. Just trolling around and that was it. I think we reeled in like 3 fish. The guide was nice though. That’s the only reason I gave a 2 Star. It would have gotten a 1 if not for him. Very disappointed.

1/2 day salmon fishing We had a great time fishing with Oasis , fishing was a little slow that day but still managed some nice Salmon , Mel the shuttle driver was a very nice guy and showed up right on time , Mark and Joann were easy to work with for a couple minor changes to our trip , we opted for a private charter rather than sharing time with other cruise guests and was well worth it ! Best trip ever we will be back. My trip was the most incredible fishing trip ever. Mike had me who just about had a full blown asthma attack after hauling him my halibut and another person who is pretty crippled up and he took great care of us. His main focus was fish and he got us into the fish even the day where the weather was pretty tough. But he also knew I had a passion for photography and gave me opportunities for great shots of porpoises, whales and the best eagle shots I have gotten in my life.

4 Hour Charter off cruise ship on Late August 2018 Although we did not catch anything huge, everyone caught at least one keeper and all had a great time on the charter. Captain Murray was professional, knowledgeable, cheerful, and his boat was more than well maintained, equipped, comfortable, and stocked. We all felt welcome on his boat, and recognized during the charter his efforts to make our brief time on the water as memorable as possible.

Awesome time, great fishing, and excelent captian! 6hr fishing trip was non stop excitement. Captian Thomas knew where to go and was very helpfull. We all cought our limit and then some! Amazing!! Our guide and master fisherman worked tirelessly to get us a Halibut. Amazing experience. The owner was super nice to arrange a taxi on the way back to our cruise. She waited with us until the taxi driver reached as we were getting late. She was ready to drop us to the cruise in her own car in case taxi doesn’t pick us on time. Super nice.

Fishing with OAC We enjoyed the time with Captain Murray. We caught our limit of kings, sea bass, and halibut. So fun!

Great fishing We had a great time in Alaska with Oasis Alaska Charters and Captain Thomas taking a half day halibut cruise. Even though we didn't catch any halibut, we caught our limit of Rockfish - the ugliest fish we've ever seen with one catch 4 ounces off the state record! It was processed and sent home for delicious eating and a wonderful remembrance of our time. Captain Thomas was friendly, easy-going and fun. We highly recommend a tour and would encourage making it a whole day tour..

Successful Salmon Fishing Excursion We arrived in Ketchikan on a Holland America cruise ship and had only 7.5 hrs. in port. We called Oasis Alaska Charters and spoke to Joanne, who helped us book a 6-hour private salmon fishing trip tailored to our ship's arrival and departure in port. We paid a small fee for their shuttle service between the ship's gangway exit and boat dock (both ways). Our shuttle service (provided by Oasis) went smoothly even though we were delayed 30 minutes getting into port and off the ship. We received texts and a phone call letting us know that our ship's arrival and our disembarkation was being monitored, which made our transportation experience as stress-less as possible. Hunter was our fishing boat captain. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area and skilled at finding the right spots to fish. Within 1.5 hours we had almost maxed out our fishing limit of pink salmon. Once still we had reached our limit, Hunter asked if we wanted to fish for sea bass. We had lots of time, so we readily agreed. Hunter taught us the technique for fishing for sea bass, and within 1.5 hours we had reached our limit of sea bass. We noticed some eagles perched on treetops along the coast. Hunter showed us a cool trick for enticing the eagles to the boat. We caught a rockfish and reeled it up quickly to stun the fish (it got the "bends"). Once unhooked from the line, Hunter tossed the rockfish overboard. It was alive and floating on the surface. Within seconds, two eagles launched from shore. The first eagle made two dive passes before grabbing the fish in its talons on the third pass. It made for an excellent video to share with friends and family. Upon our request, Hunter took us to see an active eagle's nest. My buddy and I were extremely happy with our fishing trip/experience with Hunter/Oasis Alaska Charters. We HIGHLY recommend Oasis Alaska Charters. We will definitely charter another fishing trip with Oasis next time we are in Ketchikan. Thank you Hunter and Joanne!

Great Fishing company We had the best day with oasis charters. Their communication was top notch. We were concerned that we wouldnt have enough time to fish and get back to boat. We did a private tour and they told us they will make it work. The pick up at our boat was easy. Our shuttle driver Tammy was so sweet and told us all about Ketchikan. Our captain was Danny. We had the best time either way him. We give him 5 stars. (Told you Danny). He brought us to a great spot. We got lucky and hit a halibut with first drop. Met our quota and then trolled for Salmon. He made it very easy and helped us have a great day. We got lucky and had only one of the few sunny days. Easy to have fish sent home. Fulfilled my wifes bucket list to fish in Alaska. You cant go wrong with Oasis.

Ketchikan 2024 My nephews and I had two wonderful days fishing with Captain Hunter. He is friendly, fast, and knowledgeable. Day 1 we caught our limits of everything. Day 2 caught limits of halibut and rockfish. Kings were a little harder to find, but Hunter worked hard and we caught 2 and lost more. I'm looking forward to next year.

Great salmon fishing trip! Our family had a wonderfully successful fishing trip on Oasis Alaska Charters, with the friendly and able guidance of Captain Thomas. We caught 17 salmon on a beautiful summer day in Ketchikan!

Perfect for cruise ship passengers Murray was an excellent guide and we started catching fish within 10 minutes of departure. If we make it back, I would definitely request Murray again. Oasis is perfect for cruise ship passengers with a limited timeframe in Ketchikan. The shuttle picked us up within 10 min of departure from the cruise ship and the transfer to the marina was seamless. We had our fish shipped home and it arrived cold and perfectly packaged. Communication from Oasis Alaska Charters was perfect. Several weeks prior to our trip, we began receiving confirmation emails with details and reminders to purchase a fishing license. Considering we were traveling across the entire country for this trip, the communication was much appreciated. I would highly recommend Oasis Alaska Charters.

FISH ON! Captain Murry put us on fish. We were very satisfied. Would like to do it again someday. And, we had beautiful weather and saw a couple of whales on our way back to the dock.

Great Experience Went on a 4 hour salmon charter with Captain Chris, and have no complaints. Chris kept us busy bringing in Salmon, and was very good with our 10 and 13 year old. He showed them how to set the lines so they could do it and we were off and reeling in the salmon.

Best Fishing Trip Ever Perfect trip. Drew and Joann were amazing and very accommodating. The fishing system was down at the state level and Joann drove us to get the license. Drew was our captain and we caught our limit of halibut in about two hours. This left time for salmon fishing and we caught seven salmon (6 pink and a coho). This was in a four hour trip. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

A Trip to Remember My fiancé and I went to Ketchikan to fish and we used Oasis Alaska Charters last summer. We were stunned by the scenery of soaring eagles, whales, and the amount of fish we brought in each day. Amazing Day of Fishing I can not say enough about your amazing day of fishing with Captain Murray. We were on a cruise and decided the Ketchikan stop we would go fishing. We booked the charter in advanced. Upon arriving in Ketchikan we had Sourdough taxi take us to the charter. We were met by Joann at the dock and introduced to Captain Murray. Captain Murray did a great job at letting us know what to expect and was very helpful. The boat was clean and the equipment was in excellent condition. He had us on fish in no time and the next (4) hours just flew by. We all had a lot of fun and hope to return for another day of fishing with Oasis Alaska Charters.

Beautiful day on the water Although the halibut fishing was rough, Thomas did his best to keep us in some action. We caught a wide variety of fish and had a great time. If our ship had not been leaving port early, I would have tried to book Thomas for the afternoon also. My sons and i thoroughly enjoyed it.

Fantastic Fishing (and whales too)! Great trip! Planning the trip was a breeze with great communication from Oasis. Joann drove the shuttle and told us all kinds of info about Ketchikan. Danny was our captain and because we only had 4 hours r/t the Eurodam's schedule, he worked really hard to get us on salmon! We caught King, Pink and Silver salmon. We lost a few and some were a little small so threw them back. One of the highlights for me was that we had whales all around us bubble net feeding. Absolutely amazing!Back at the dock we got to take pictures of our catch and then the team fileted, vacuum packed, froze and shipped our salmon. It arrived the day after we got back, as expected. Can't recommend the Oasis team enough. Fantastic trip!

Best Fishing Trip! One of the items on our family bucket list was to fish for halibut in the waters of Alaska. Not only did we get to fish, but we were able to limit out! Murray was the best captain and knew exactly where they were biting! There wasn't a dull minute the whole time! So nice to be able to leave our fish at the resort and have them process it and they sent it right to our home! Awesome experience!

My best charter in Ketchikan Absolutely wonderful charter with oasis. We had captain Murray for two long range fishing trips, he was patient and funny and worked his ass off to get us on fish. I've used several different charters in prior years but oasis was a family affair and you felt it. Mark and JoAnn are wonderful people who will go out of their way to make sure you have a great time, DO NOT HESITATE TO BOOK WITH OASIS.

Better than cruise ship excursion We heard that through the cruise ship excursions, you could have 6 guests and only 4 lines, so decided to go private for our salmon fishing charter. This did mean we had to spend ~$40 each way for the taxi, but got to see some of the town between and had opportunity to stop for beer. We were there this first week of June and were unfortunate with significant rain for most of our time on the water; however, I am proud to say we caught 1 rockfish and 1 king salmon. One interesting thing to note is when you book, it is sounds like good odds of getting some fish, and then on board it becomes much less unlikely… so temper your expectations, and maybe negotiate for a low season rental rate. Our guide Thomas was helpful, kind and knowledgeable, and the dock crew helped slice and send our fish home to enjoy. We would recommend this group and would use them again.

We had a great time with Captain Murray! We had a short trip to Clover Pass from the Cruise Port and quickly got on our boat with Captain Murray. We were catching fish within minutes and quickly caught our limit of salmon. I even caught a nice halibut before we ran out of time. We would love to do it again sometime.

King salmon in Ketchikan Just return from cruise to Alask With my wife and two kids. in Ketchikan booked private charter with oasis charters. Great to work with, They were very accommodating to the ships schedule. Boat was like new, clean and in great working order. Capitain Murray was great with kids and was able to put us on the fish. Processing for our catch was available at the marina. Can't wait to return to Alaska and will definitely fish with oasis charters again.

Oasis was an awesome adventure! Murray, Axle, Chris, and Thomas are All awesome fishing guides! They kept us on the fish all day long and kept our hooks in the water. I never expected to catch the amount of fish we did. We caught everything! King salmon, Coho Salmon, Pink Salmon, Halibut, Sea Bass and more. I would definitely go back today. The guides are fun and professional, not to mention the owners are a class act! Great atmosphere, great people, I feel like I left some friends behind when I came home....... I would give more stars if I could.

Fun times Nice clean boat, friendly captain, good Ketchikan weather, what else can you ask for? The fishing was a little quiet, guess it's not a great season up there this summer, but I guess that just means we have to go back up next summer!

Amazing day on the water fishing for salmon Great communication, captain and boat were ready as soon as we got there. Short ride to fish and caught 11 salmon that we had processed and flown home. Favorite day in Alaska by far.

Halibut fishing June 2015 My family had an awesome experience with Oasis. Joana kept us up to date on the details. Danny did a great job as captain and fishing guide! One of the highlights of our trip.

Amazing three days! What a terrific 3 days with Capt Murray. Everyday was perfect weather and superb fishing. In three days we caught 109 Salmon, 50 Sea Bass, 9 Halibut and 8 Ling Cods....and that's just the stuff we didn't throw back. Murray is like the fish whisperer, unbelievably talented and so laid back, he just lets people enjoy the whole experience. We basically saw all of the wildlife Alaska has to offer from the boat.

Water was calm, processing and packaging was effortless and JoAnn and Mark are great hosts. Next time we come back we are doing nothing else but hanging out with these folks. Best money spent on our whole trip.

Awesome We caught our limit of Pink Salmon in about an hour and spent the rest of our time trolling for Kings. A great experience with our guide Hunter!

Extended Fishing Day (2days-huge payload) The Oasis Alaska Charters is professional and organized. Mark & JoAnn know customer service etiquette, and it shows! Captain Murray was very professional, punctual, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. He worked hard to make sure we caught fish. Several times I glanced back to see other boats following where we were headed to, and I understand why now. Captain Murray is a leader, and he gets the job done! He knows where to find fish. After we quickly hit limit on Salmon and Halibut, Captain Murray headed for sea bass and lingcod/cod. It was quite an adventure too being able to see the whales and sea lions. Both extended day trips were very successful for the 5 of us! Thanks Oasis for a great trip!!!

Hands Down, the Best! Oasis and Captain Hunter were indescribably great. Oasis was upfront and extremely helpful with our group. This was our first time on a charter so talking with them ahead of time I had so many questions I was annoying myself. The Oasis team never even sounded a little irritated. They took everything in stride and seemed eager and excited to help even when we needed to add another person at the last minute. As far as Captain Hunter, I can't say enough. We were all extremely new at fishing. 3/5 of us a had never fished at all and the other two only here and there on lakes. He talked us through everything and ran himself ragged helping out at every opportunity. You could see other boats from different companies out there and no one was working close to as hard as he ways helping us out. I have no doubt that he is adaptable to any skill level and would be awesome for seasoned fishers as well. He talked to us about our options, gave us his professional recommendations, and was insanely friendly the whole trip. He was never pushy or seemed in a hurry to to get us out of there and managed to get us on more fish than we could ever catch. None of us would have thought we would limit out on everything, but we did! We understand that it doesn't always go that way, but it was great knowing he was going to do everything in his power to get us there. Even the crew at the dock at the end were extremely friendly and helpful getting our fished processed and explaining our options for getting them home. I can't imagine I will ever go on another charter that was better than this entire team provided. If I am ever back that way I know the only company I will book with. …

Fantastic Experience We had an unbelievable experience. Thomas was our captain and did a great job of getting us set up and keeping us in water where the fish were hitting on a regular basis. We really appreciated his help getting our catch back home and overall just providing a wonderful time.

Fabulous Fishing Trip We went out on Reel Therapy for 2 full days of fishing with Captain Murray just a week ago. We had an absolutely amazing time! Cpt. Murray was very knowledgeable, personable and a good instructor. We couldn't have had more fun and we caught over 200lbs of fish between the 4 of us. Thanks for a fantastic time!

Oasis Alaska Charters This was by far the best fishing charter I have ever been on and by far the best Captain to guide a charter. From the minute we stepped foot on the grounds at the Marina we were greeted with kind folks who provided us information on the area, talked with us about our charter, introduced us to the Captain, and ensured we were all ready to go. The folks at the Marina were superb, even offering sunscreen and refreshments. While on board the captain was outstanding, put on on fish within 10 minutes of leaving port. Handled difficult seas with patience and ease, and provided us with an amazing fishing trip that will be remembered for a very long time as the best ever. The captain was courteous, helpful, and truly happy for us when we each caught a fish. Halibut fishing charter We were extremely pleased with the whole experience. Captain Logan was very accommodating, knowledgeable and went above and beyond to give the 4 of us a very wonderful trip. We caught 2 Halibuts that were of the keep able size. He took us out to deeper water, where we landed a100lb halibut that we were required to release. It was really a lot of fun brining in a large halibut from a depth of 500ft. I think letting people know in advance of booking a halibut charter, that they will not be able to keep a larger halibut would be a better policy. You did a great job!Thank youBob Dersé

Highlight of our trip to Ketchikan Can't say enough about how great this trip was! We had a blast with Captain Murray, catching our limit of halibut plus a few cod. We enjoyed the trip so much, we went back three days later and did it again. This was our second and third time with Oasis, and we will continue to use them every chance we get. Highly recommended for families - we took our 7, 10, and 13 year old boys, each of whom absolutely loved the experience. We came home with 35 lbs of fish to enjoy throughout the year. Top notch in every respect.

One hell of a time Murray and his wife were awesome they treated my wife kids and my self like family. We will be back!

dissapointed We selected our trip due to the reviews on Captain Mike, to our surprise we did not have Capt. Mike, but rather a 20 something female. Our anchor got stuck, therefore were limited as to moving the boat. On our check out slip due to these issues we were told and it was written that our captain was going to throw some halibut in with our package home. Thus, I thought we were generous with our tip. When the fish arrived there was no halibut. The fillets from the Red Rock we caught were smaller than some farm pond crappie we catch. Overall, I am not disappointed in the amount of fish we caught, as it did not appear anyone caught many fish that day. (That is how fishing goes). If you book with Oasis, I would suggest you ask for the captain that the reviews are written for. When a couple of old guys go fishing, we are not looking for a young female captain. I can not recommend Oasis.

Such a fun trip! We chartered two boats for 7 of us, and we had a blast. It was chilly and rainy, and it didn't even phase us. Our fishing guys were great, we had all fished before but none of us were experts by any means, and they helped us all to reel in fish and get some pics! The landscape was stunning, and the salmon were flowing :). Would definitely recommend!

Private Fishing Charter My husband and I went out with Chris and had a great time. Everything from the booking process, communication before the trip, the fishing trip went smoothly. Our captain Chris was wonderful! We caught some halibut and rock fish and sent them home. They gave us the name of a local taxi company to call to pick us up from the pier and the cab driver came and picked us back up. All in all a wonderful experience. So much better than being cattle herded by the cruise line and on a fishing boat with 6 other people.

Had A Great Time! My wife, daughter and myself booked a trip this last August with Oasis Alaska and had Murray as our Captain... we had a great trip... Being from the Puget Sound area I know the effects El Nino has had on the salmon... amongst other things. With that said, we had a great time visiting with Murray (very cool knowledgeable guy with some awesome experience on the water), enjoying the scenery, and yes catching some salmon! Heck, even if we had gotten skunked it would have been a great day... that's why they call it "fishing"... not "catching". You guys are awesome, we will be back! Highly reccommended!!!

Amazing fishing! Amazing! So many fish, such professional staff! They make sure all you do is fish and have a blast! Even the kids got to reel a bunch in.

Most Excellent Time !! If this is something on your bucket list ,we( me, my wife and sister-in-law, all over 65 ) highly recommend Oasis Alaska Charters. We signed up for a 3day 8hour fish. we found this duration to be just right for our first time. Don't do less than 8 hour trip. The scenery is wonderful. Might see a whale or two.Their operation is top notch. Joanne and Mark make sure you are receiving a first class experience . Our guide Captain Murray was super handling 3 neophytes. He made sure we.got on fish and he was very helpful at putting each of at ease. Oasis boats and equipment are top of the line. I guess all I can say now is we are going to do this again. Halibut Fishing Charter Oasis Charter was amazing. First, communication was fantastic!!! The shuttle was there waiting for us as we debarked the ship. Everyone worked with us to make this Charter fantastic given our tight time-line. Hunter was a great guide. He took us to spots that had the most success rates. Within 20 minutes we had our limits of halibut. We then trolled for salmon. Before Hunter could finish explaining what to expect we had a coho on the line. Within an hour, we caught 6 coho salmon but, two got away (not Hunters fault, lol). Oasis took care of the fish processing and shipping to our home. They got us back in time to quickly visit a shop to get a t-shirt! I highly recommend Oasis Charter especially if you are taking an Alaska cruise. So, we did a shore salmon fishing excursion the day before and caught absolutely nothing. In addition, it was expensive. Don't waste your time or money on this, book with Oasis Charter instead. Thank you Oasis Charter and thank you to Hunter and the entire team for a great trip!

Absolutely incredible What an incredible crew and ownership. I scheduled with Oasis charters after everything on our cruise was booked. I am so glad that this was the case. I wanted a charter for 2 which I could not get booking through the cruise anyway. They were the first people to answer the phone call (not a computer voice) talking with Mark and Joanne was a wonderful experience. I called back multiple times after booking our excursion with questions. They were so kind and answered every question I had without making me feel like what I may have been asking was dumb or stupid. It was our first fishing excursion so I had a lot of dumb stuff I was thinking about. When we got to port Mark was right there waiting. When we arrived at the dock for our excursion we met our captain Axl (not sure of spelling). We could not have asked for a better captain for us. He supplied us with great info and an incredible fishing trip. We almost limited out by catching 9 of a possible 12 salmon in our short 4 hr excursion. Excellent trip again!!! We had used Oasis Charters when we visited Alaska in 2016 and when we came back to Alaska again July 2018 we definitely had to use Oasis again. The whole experience was AAA rating. The captains are great and make sure you catch what you are fishing for. The office people courteous and helpful!!! I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who wants a great time of fishing!! I guarantee that whenever we come to Ketchikan we will definitely fish with Oasis Charters!!!

Amazing day on the water! I cant say enough good things about this trip! The 4 of us had a boat to ourselves and Captain hunter was Amazing. We booked a 4 hour charter and were actually given a 5th hour for free so that they could coordinate our return to the port with another party,
Mark, the owner, picked us up at our ship and we chatted pleasantly on the way to the boat. From there Captain Hunter took over. To say he knows his stuff is an understatement! We put our lines in and had a fish on with 5 minutes. We caught silvers, pinks and Kings (but had to throw the kings back since they were out of season and were tiny). We ended our 5 hours with 3 silvers and 14 pinks in the cooler! We had so many more that we got to reel in, but they broke off the lines just before we could scoop them up. This trip was awesome and time flew by way too fast.
I would highly recommend Oasis Alaska to anyone wanting to take home some Wild Alaska Salmon!

Amazing fishing excursion! This was a rescheduled family trip from 2020 for a group of 10. Half went salmon fishing with Drew, the others halibut fishing with Hunter. Right from the start, the staff at Oasis Alaska Charters was very responsive - they answered my emails in a timely fashion (usually within minutes!) The shuttle service from the cruise terminal was very convenient and reasonably priced - definitely recommended. Our fishing experience was amazing - looking forward to the arrival of our fish! We had a great time!
